Argos give themselves room for error heading into rematch with Ticats

The Argonauts at his BMO field Saturday night We won a game that clearly deserved to be won. However, Boatman's 34-20 comeback win over the Tiger-Cats bought them some time, based on late play including touchdowns from offense, defense and special teams.

Of course, no team wants to lose, but the short answer is, 4-3 with two wins over the East Ticats and Alouettes, the game is in hand. — Argos can allow another setback.
Toronto holds the tiebreaker and Saturday's 14-point difference could affect the final standings.

The Argos and Ticats will have a rematch this Friday night at Tim Hortons Field. All the pressure will be on the home side as his second loss to Argos will cost him. many different levels.

By the time the Labor Day Classic hits, the two rivals have faced each other four times in his five weeks, with a game against the Calgary Stampeders thrown into the Double Blue mix.

So Argos aren't out of the woods as they still have a lot of matches to go, but they do have some headroom by beating Hamilton.

BLINDSIDE BANTER

Until the injury list thins, the Argos either wins the American offensive his tackle or the Canadians. I have to step up one of him.

They got away with starting his line of All-Canadian offensives against Tubbys — rookie Gregor his McKellar making his second start at left guard and veteran Phillip of his break was a left tackle, but he perseveres. pain and discomfort; In the first half, Hamilton recorded his three sacks, but this was due to his QB McLeod and Bethel his Thompson holding the football too long.

The Argos already have American Isaiah his Cage and Trevon Tate on his six-game injured list, and a third Dejon Allen undressed for Hamilton. I did.

On defense, the Argos lost starting halfback Shaq Richardson to injury, but on special teams, veteran long snapper and longest-serving player on the team, Jake Reinhart. Had to leave the game with a setback elbow. This offseason, I had surgery on the same elbow I first injured against Ottawa.

Running back Andrew Harris injured his wrist late in the game, but it doesn't appear to be serious. However, it is not a minority. I wondered why Harris was in the game at that point. , a tough time trying to pick yourself up.
The Ticats had him winning 18-3 in the final period of the game. This is a futile trend that started in my first week in Regina. The host riders outscored the visitors 18-7 in a fateful fourth en route to a 30-13 win.

He was the only time Tikatz scored more points than his opponent in Round 4, but when he escaped with a 25-23 win over visiting Ottawa, it was just a few. It was a big difference.

In that game, Hamilton edged the Redblacks to his 7-6 record in his final 15-minute frame.

When they visited his BC Place, the Ticats and Lions did not score a single point in the 4th quarter, but the host said that Leos had his We won 17-12.

Overall, the Ticats are winning 93-29 in the fourth quarter. This highlights the team's inability to make plays at key moments and thus prevent opponents from making big plays.

At BMO Field, the Ticats gave up a blocked punt, leading to a special teams score, and the 4th Quarter Defensive was picked for his score.

Kurleigh Gittens Jr. Kickoff By The Numbers His chances of a return outweigh his receptions doesn't bode well. He gained 8 yards on one pass on Saturday and returned 45 yards on two kickoffs.Gittens is the most utilized receiver, but says his team has no choice in the comeback. Yes...Tikats LB Simoni Lawrence, who returned to the lineup after missing three games with a groin injury, had two tackles. He has been quiet virtually all night, but we doubt a more aggressive and vocal Lawrence will show up in Friday's rematch... four penalties were taken by Argos. Two of his penalties on Saturday were to back up LB Brandon Calver, both serious offenses that led to his ejection... Argos LB Wynton McManis was the game's most 10 tackles, achieving his double-digit total for the second time this season. His other one was in Toronto's second game of the season when he lost 44-3 to the Lions.

Westis his best

The West Division has gone 16-3 in a game against the East in his season. I am getting results. The Saskatchewan Roughriders are absorbing it all. Three losses—two against the Argonauts in Montreal and one against the Alouettes.

The gap between West and East continues to widen week by week as QB play improves and remains fundamentally healthy and disciplined.

Edmonton is last in the West with his 2-6 record. This leaves Elks tied for second in the East.

After his 46-10 loss to the Lions on Saturday night, the Elks have won his two games at BC Place by an aggregate margin of 105-29.
