Police say a 33-year-old man from Calgary died after going swimming with friends atCultus Lakenear Chilliwack, British Columbia. is.
Police were summoned shortly before 6:00 pm, according to the RCMP. On Saturday, August 13, following reports that a man drowned in a lake near Inlet Bay.

A witness told police that the man was walking in the water with a friend when he went into deep water and submerged. A rescue team and Chilliwack's search and rescue team were called to look for the man.
Unfortunately, the man could not swim and sank into deep water, where he drowned.
Sgt. Chilliwack RCMP media spokesperson Christa Brolik said in a statement: We send our thoughts and condolences to this man's family and friends.

The man's body was later recovered by paramedics, police confirmed.
The Chilliwack RCMP and the BC coroner's office are investigating.
The man's identity has not been released at this time.
