Local residents of all ages exploded at the 65th Annual Event
In 2020, six of her friends from the senior residences of Sandra Collins and Hendrix Court will be at the East York Canada Day Parade. I was there.

On Friday, after a two-year hiatus by COVID, Collins and thousands of East Yorkers walk down the street from Dieppe Park to Stanwadrow Park to celebrate the resurrection of the 65th annual parade. It was lined up.
"We are celebrating the 100th anniversary of East York and still want to participate in the Canada Day parade in 2024," Collins said.
Collins said she was "sad" that she had missed simple things like meeting people in her athletic classrooms and parades for the past two years.
"It's great to have a lot of kids this year," she said. "More than ever."
Conn was in Belfast, Northern Ireland many years ago. He moved to Canada from his home and was part of the seven in 2020.
She said she was "great." Conn. "Every year we look forward to it."
"And you can sit in front of here (in your residence) to see the fireworks. You don't have to go to the park."
Even Toronto Mayor John Tory and East York Beaches Councilor Brad Bradford took the time from the parade to greet women outside their homes and continue the parade tradition. Thank you for that.
At Stanwadrow Park, kids and their families enjoyed rides such as slides and merry-go-rounds, as well as games of chance to win stuffed animals.
They also listened to main stage bands like the East York Blues All-Stars, which spurred the Canadian Day festival.
Some families fled from the recently devastated Ukraine. There are five people currently living in East York, some treating their children at the Chic Kids Hospital.
An organization called Meagan ’s Hug sold T-shirts and hats to support families and raise funds to show the true Canadian multicultural friendship that the country is building.
And as the long weekend of Canada Day continues, Stanwadrow will hold a fireworks display on Saturday at 10 pm.
Some kind of snuff with a vendor contracted with the city of Toronto has occurred. It doesn't appear at the fireworks display. Fortunately, another fireworks company intervened in the last moment.
