Five Chefs Compete for Gold at Ottawa's Next Great Canada Kitchen Party Competition

Canada's Great Kitchen Party contest in Ottawa in 2022 will return to Le Cordon this fall, two years after it was not held in person due to the pandemic. will be held in Blue Ottawa in Sandy Hill.

This event takes place on September 26th, replacing a longstanding competition called the Gold Medal Plate a few years ago. It will be held in Ottawa on February 3rd and 4th next year.

A major proponent of plant-based fine dining and fermentation as a culinary art, Kim won the Ottawa Gold Medal Plate Contest in 2017 and qualified for the 2018 Canadian Culinary Contest. You can be considered a favorite in this field. Championship in Kelowna, BC.

In this decade, two of his chefs in the Ottawa area, Marc Lepine of Atelier and Yannick LaSalle of Les Fougères, won the Canadian Culinary Championships.

Due to the pandemic, the 2021 Regional Cooking Contest and his 2022 National Competition were not held. In the fall of 2020, Ottawa's Great Kitchen Party was changed to a takeout-based competition, but no corresponding national competition was held.

The September 26th event will raise funds for his dual purpose focused on supporting Canadian youth. MusiCounts is a national music education charity and Spirit North is an organization that supports indigenous youth.

Tickets are available for purchase at greatkitchenparty.com for $195 plus tax per person. Participants will be able to sample each chef's cuisine, but the winning chef will be determined by a panel of judges.
