BERLIN — Germany on Friday condemned a missile attack near the Ukrainian port city of Odesa, saying the attack on civilians was a war crime.
"Russian President (Vladimir) Putin and his head should be held accountable," a German government spokesman told Briefing.
Hours after Russian troops were expelled from nearby Snake Island, a missile rained near Odesa on Friday, attacking apartment buildings and resorts, killing at least 19 people. Russia denies targeting civilians. (Report by Matthias Williams, edited by Rachel More)
