Gausman signed a five-year $ 110 million contract with Blue Jays last offseason. He entered start 6-6 on Saturday with 2.93 ERA.
Gausman allowed four hits in two scoreless innings before departure. He walked one and hit three.
Right-handed Casey Lawrence, who joined the Blue Jays as the 27th man in the double header on Saturday, replaced Gaussman in the third place.
