Cindy Hite is a retired nurse who had been colouring her hair for years and was ready to embrace her natural hair.
Cindy has course and wavy hair. She had been slowly transitioning her colour from dark brown to light brown, and was finally ready to take the plunge and fully transition to her natural silver tone.

To achieve her grey-blend transformation, I had to first lift as much of her existing colour from her mid-lengths and ends. I applied platinum highlights in back-to-back foil packets and let it process slowly for 45 minutes. I rinsed her hair and applied a secondary lightener to sweep away any residual warmth and get her to a clear tone. I then applied an ammonia-free colour refinement in a champagne-silver tone, which seamlessly toned and balanced out her silver locks.
I cleansed her hair with Oribe Gold Lust Repair and Restore Shampoo and Conditioner. I applied Oribe Brilliance and Shine Moisturizing Cream as a leave-in for added hydration and lustre, then trimmed and reshaped her hair into a face-framing layered shag.
Prior to blowdrying her hair with a round brush, I applied Oribe Crème for Style from roots to ends for firm yet flexible all-day hold and frizz taming. I blowdried her hair with a round brush creating a smooth and sleek style.
Makeup:
Cindy wanted us to show her how to refresh her makeup in a soft and natural way. We used a sheer foundation and concealer to even out her complexion, then swept her cheeks with a light pink blush. We filled in and defined her eyebrows and contoured her eyes with neutral brow eye shadows. On her mouth, we opted for a sheer rose-pink lip crayon.
