According to the Niagara Police Department, a Port Colborne nurse is facing assault charges in connection with a child abuse incident at a Thorold address.
Investigators say his 2-year-old boy, who has "significant medical limitations," was seriously injured after interacting with a registered practicing nurse last Friday. I'm here.
"A registered practicing nurse in charge of caring for an infant was found to have intentionally injured a child," detectives said in a statement.

As of Tuesday, the young man was in stable condition after being taken to an out-of-town hospital for advanced treatment last week.
