Most Marvel movies and shows deal with dangerous events. I'm here. Either the universe is ending or there is a cosmic madman trying to get rid of half of everyone in existence.

She-Hulk: Lawyer is a courtroom comedy of opposites. Jennifer Walters.

As his half-hour drama, Marvel's first to stream on Disney+, Walters finds out that his cousin Bruce his banner (aka Hulk) accidentally ends up with him. Drafted into the MCU after telling some of his super-powered blood: car accident. She went from being a corporate lawyer to a lawyer specializing in crime-fighting and superhuman cases.

Head Her writer Jessica Gao described the show as "Marvel's first real her half-hour comedy."

"We focus on the more mundane and mundane. It's a really interesting juxtaposition in this giant superhero story," adds Maslany, 36. increase.

Debuting this week on Disney+, the nine-episode series stars Jameela Jamil as supervillain Titania and Mark Ruffalo. Several Marvel veterans also make appearances, including Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/The Abomination, Benedict Wong as Wong, and Charlie Cox as Daredevil.

"All his MCU actors on this show were happy to perform in this environment. It's a different tone than most of the other work they've done," said Saskatchewan. A native of the state, he says.

But it's Marvel. And after an early episode finds Walters comically discussing Captain America's virginity and struggling with her own dating life, it can't stay funny all the way.

"No, definitely not. A woman can't be a superhero unless something happens to her," says the Emmy-winning actress with a laugh. "Whether she's a superhero or just existing, the feeling that people are threatened by her presence is threatening. On the inside, on the inside, the episode gets really personal and huge at the same time.”

Maslany spoke about joining the MCU recently. , laughed at Steve Rogers' sex life and considered the most shocking death of Sopranos.

I was genuinely laughing through her first four episodes. Seeing what was going on in the MCU made me want to audition to play She-Hulk.

"I've never known She-Hulk before. I've seen that image of her, but never been involved with it. I read the comic and it was really the uniqueness of that character and the space she occupies in the Marvel Universe - it's very meta and self-aware and makes fun of Marvel - it was so cool to me It looked so different that I had to audition.”

Orphan Black How did her MCU have you prepared for

"Orphan Blackwas lucky to be exposed to the creation of different characters. What they gave me was the technical element of the job, half of the time I'm wearing a motion capture suit with a camera in front of my face and a helmet on top, so I can make these scenes feel real. There are so many suspensions of disbelief that are necessary for Orphan Black and I was able to use the pieces I was working across from the tennis ball on set."

Did you have sitcom homework?

"No, but I grew up watching sitcoms. Elaine Bennes on Seinfeldwas a big touchstone for me. was a character I idolized as well as Julia-Louis Dreyfus''

between you and Mark, discussing the virginity of Captain America. I have a scene. It dropped me down a Google rabbit hole — I didn't know that was what fans actually discussed.

"I didn't know it was a question either. I love that there are other people who come to this show and ask, 'Am I a virgin too? 137}

Did you go to Reddit to read other fan theories and start discussions with fans anonymously?

"I don't even know how to get to Reddit. Reddit.com? I'm a granny — I don't know how it works. "

You'll be wasting hours there if you leave it alone.

"But it's great to have these discussions. I love finding communities where people are so engaged and able to talk about their likes and interests.

  1. 'Ms. Marvel'

  2. Chris Hemsworth played Thor until fans told him to stop Say

  3. Love and Midlife Crisis: How Taika Waititi Makes the New Thor Did you launch and persuade Chris Hemsworth to strip naked? Ethan Hawke: "I like bad guys who don't think badly of themselves."

Wong is a big fan of The Sopranos And then there was Adriana's death. What surprised you most about the death of Soprano?

"Basically, I'm like Wong in the back. I watched the first season and thought, 'This is amazing.' did. I have a short attention span and need to catch up.

I love the return of Abomination. What were your thoughts on the decision to bring him back into the franchise?

"He's special because he's in a movie where Mark isn't playing the Hulk. It's a very deep dive and brings him into this show." That makes a lot of sense. The way Tim explored his character before was much darker and less sitcom-like, so it was really cool for him to bring in that character and play in this fun and goofy atmosphere.

In the comics, She-Hulk forms her A-force with other female heroes such as Captain Her Marvel and Dazzler. I'm here. Is it your future?

(laughs) "There are rumors going around that I told Kevin Feige that I wanted her to lead A-Force. Demands to lead.' I don't know if I said that... but now I do (laughs)."

What is your favorite Marvel movie?

"There are a few. I liked Thor: Ragnarokand felt that it really broke what I thought a Marvel movie could be. The first Iron Man was also very exciting because it was the beginning of something else."

What about the strongest Avenger?

(whispers) "She-Hulk. Just kidding."

Pick her if you want.

"I can't tell you because it's not true. I'll leave it at that.
