Toronto fullback Richie Laria returned to his hometown club for an assist and scored a penalty.

After Bernardeschi scored his 54th-minute penalty to put Toronto ahead 3–2 with him, Insignier opened his MLS account with his 77th-minute rockets and the defender and shot with his right foot. The penalty box went past goalkeeper Joe Willis.

Honey Mukhtar, Thiel Bunbury and Walker Zimmerman scored goals for Nashville, and the team finished the first half with three rapid-fire goals, two penalties and 31 goals. shot.

His 84th-minute goal for Zimmermann was a header from a corner that made for a tense finale after surviving video his review. Nashville never took the lead, but he never gave up that the TFC had to weather six nerve-wracking minutes of injury time.

Mouffetard had a chance in the 96th minute, but his header missed the mark.

Both teams endured a recent lean spell, recording just one win each in their last seven league games — Toronto where he is 1-4-2 and Nashville where he is. was 1-2-4. Still, Nashville entered the weekend ahead of Toronto by 10 points, above the Western Conference playoff line.

Toronto (7-12-5) went 0-7-4 at home this season — the only team in the league yet to win a trip — and 19 games straight. We didn't win (0-13-6) as far back as July 24, 2021, when we won 2-1 in Chicago. Eight of his Toronto starters at Soldier Field that day have since left the club. Laria, who returned to his hometown club on loan from his Forest in Nottingham, England on Friday, started at right-back for Toronto.

The 27-year-old was sold to Forest in January after he spent three seasons at TFC, but struggled to crack the winning Forest side's line-up. However, he played in just five games. Laria made 83 appearances in all competitions in his first round in Toronto, scoring 9 goals and 12 assists in three seasons.

He finished in his 64th minute on Saturday after his performance of an impressive return.

He was 30 degrees Celsius, but when Geodis kicked off at his park he felt like 34 degrees.

Osorio put Toronto ahead in the 19th minute with a stunning shot. Facing three defenders, he shimmied left and right to create space for the shot, then fired his left-footed rocket from the edge of the penalty box into the corner of the goal, where Willis rooted on the spot.

The goal came after he scored in the 89th minute for Osorio against D.C. United on May 21, before Toronto's 380th minute in the league. put an end to the lack of scoring.

A midfield giveaway by Bernardeschi led to a Nashville penalty in the second half. Mouffetard fed C.J. Sapon, who collapsed after his back foot hit Alex Bono while trying to accelerate past the goalkeeper. Lariae was booked after a Toronto player delayed a spot kick. For the 13th time of the season, Mukhtar fired high into goal in the 41st minute. Lariaa played the role of provider in his 44th minute, low sending his cross to Osorio, hitting his post for his eighth of the season, and Jesus giving his club his lead with Jimenez. tied a lead. Bernardeschi did his part, finding Laria in the penalty box after a great build-up with Toronto moving the ball left and right.

Osorio has scored six goals in his last 10 appearances, after scoring six in his last 42 regular-season appearances.

Nashville (8-8-9) flicked Bunbury's header backwards as Dave Romney pulled away from his marker, Toronto captain Michael Bradley, on a Mouffetard corner. At that time, I caught up with the tie in the additional time of the first half. Pass by Bono. The goal stood despite offside complaints.

The Canadian-born US international, the son of former Canadian international Alex Banbury, has now scored in four straight games to take his MLS total to 68.

In the 53rd minute Laria was down after contact with Daniel Lovitz, who gave Allen Chapman a penalty. The Nashville fullback, a former TFC draft candidate, waved his finger against the call, but it was upheld.

Insigne's flair with the ball caused him to make two hard-hitting tackles in his first two minutes, allowing Nashville captain Dax McCarty to take down the Italian star. By doing so, he won his card.

McCarty came close to scoring for Nashville in his fourth minute, but Mukhtar's free redirection of his kick flashed just outside the posts.

Chapman didn't move when he fell into his box in the eighth minute when Laria fell into his box for a Nashville penalty. Replays showed Laria appearing to slam her leg into the back of Daniel Lovitz.

A diving Bono hit Bunbury's shot in his 14th minute to beat Nashville.

Nashville played in Portland midweek and were winless in four games (0-1-3). The club, in his third year, will be on the cusp of winning from September 2021 to October 2021. did.

TFC's acquisition remained sidelined through injury.

Winger Jacob Schaffelberg, who joined Nashville on loan from Toronto this week, did not make his squad for the Nashville match.
