Jose Miranda defeated the Baltimore Orioles 4-3 against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday afternoon in Minneapolis, winning in the bottom of the ninth inning to select Alex Kirilloff.
Minnesota tied it with a 3 when Jorge Polanco hit a 425-foot home run from Jorge Lopez (3-5) against the bullpen in the center left and led from the bottom nine.
After one, Kirilov doubled the bottom of the fence in the center left and advanced to third place with Gary Sanchez's broken bat single. Miranda then followed with a sharp single to the left to win it.
Twins beat Byron Buxton's two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning from Lopez in Friday night's series opener 3-2. Lopez did not allow home runs in the previous 371/3 innings before Baxton and Polanco hit home runs in a row at bat.
