How to access the CNE reopening for the first time in two years

CNE will finally return on Friday after a two-year pandemic hiatus.

Global News has gathered information on how to access the iconic event, which runs from August 19th to September 5th.

GO Transit

According to the CNE website, the easiest way to get to The Ex is via GO Transit.

"Get off at the Exhibition GO station and you're here!" says the website.

According to Metrolinx, trains, buses, stations and parking lots will be busier than usual as the CNE returns to town, so allow extra time. We are advising our customers.

Customers can use theTrip Planning Toolto plan their trips.

Metrolinx says getting a GO Weekend Pass is the best way for anyone heading to his CNE for the weekend said to be an option.

Purchase a $10 day pass or $15 weekend pass valid for additional holidays. Passes are only available online,but cannot be purchased at stations or with Presto cards.

Metrolinx says that on weekdays, customers can purchase group passes that allow unlimited travel throughout the day across the GO network,and are only available with e-tickets.

$30 for two, $40 for three, $50 for four, and $60 for five.

Children 12 and under always use GO Transit for free.

Metrolinx also noted that veterans and one companion will be able to ride GO and UP Express for free on Saturday, August 20, in honor of the Warriors Day parade. .

You can now also use your credit card to pay for adult rates by tapping on/off your Presto device.

TTC

According to the TTC, from 19 August to 5 September, service will be available to CNE. increase.

A dedicated CNE Express shuttle bus runs non-stop between Dufferin Station and the Dufferin Gate Loop, according to Transportation. It is scheduled to operate.

Services will increase on 29 Dufferin, 509 Harbourfront, 510 Spadina, 511 Bathurst and 929 Dufferin Express Routes, the TTC noted.

Due to road closures, there will be reroutes at 29 Dufferin, 174 Ontario Place - Exhibition, and 510 Spadina Route.

CNE's website highlights four routes as "the fastest and most efficient way" to reach The Ex:

  • 511 Bathurst Streetcar. Head south from the Bathurst Underground Station to the Exhibition Loop.
  • 504B King Tram. From Broadview Underground Station, travel to the Dufferin Gate Loop.
  • 29 Dufferin Bus. Head south from the Dufferin Underground Station to the Dufferin Gate Loop.
  • 509 Harbourfront Tram. From Union Station, we bring you to the Exhibition Loop.

CNE noted that the Duffering Gate Loop is at the western end of his CNE site, and the Exhibition Loop is at the eastern end of the site.

A child under the age of 12 can ride his TTC for free.
