BC Wildfire Service says it will not use "groundbreaking" night vision technology for aerial firefighting. That's because Alberta Wildfire has started successfully deploying new technology this season, but it hasn't had time to train its crew.

The B.C. Wildfire Service successfully tested the technology two years ago, Wildfire had its first tests in June of this year, but it was Alberta who was able to put it into production just a few weeks later.
