On Thursday, August 11, the Rochester Police Department responded to a call to the Berkman Apartments across from the Mayo Clinic Hospital. Darius was found unresponsive and was later pronounced dead.

before his death,Darius was staying at the Berkman Apartments directly across from the Mayo Clinic Hospital. With 70 operating rooms and his 1,265 beds, doctors at the state-of-the-art St. His Mary campus perform robotic heart surgery and heart and lung transplants.
Berkman prides itself on its elegant residences located near hospitals where residents can rent short and long term stays. Its accommodations range from 'elevated micro' apartments to multi-level townhouses.
It is unknown whether Darius was treated at the Mayo Clinic. His family is awaiting a toxicology report, which could take him up to eight weeks.
According to a Rochester Police Department statement, "Investigations into his cause of death are still pending. There is no known threat to the public."
