How will each rail company be affected by the latest rail strike?

British rail companies have announced plans for how services will change during this week's rail strike.

On Thursdays and Saturdays, trains will operate about one-fifth as often as usual, and half the lines will be closed.

Trains will only run from 7:30am to 6:30pm on both strike days, leaving later than usual the next morning.

Here's the breakdown of plans for each operator on Thursday and Saturday:

– Avanti West Coast

as many drivers voluntarily stopped working , operators are running a shortened timetable from Sunday. Extra pay on rest days.

On days of strike, one train per hour runs in both directions between London Euston and BirminghamLiverpoolManchester and Preston. increase.

Limited flights to Glasgow. Service is not available in some areas such as

Blackpool,Edinburgh, North Wales and Shrewsbury.

– c2c

Operates at less than a third of normal service.

These consist of two trains per hour in each direction between London Fenchurch Street and Shoeburyness via Rainham and the same between London Fenchurch Street and Pissey via Rainham. It runs frequently.

No trains go through Ockendon or Chafford Hundred.

– Caledonian Sleeper

All departures are canceled on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights.

– Chiltern Railways

Thursday: No trains north of Banbury or to/from Oxford station.

There is one train per hour in both directions between London Marylebone and each Aylesbury via High Wycombe. Banbury; and Oxford Parkway.

The same frequency runs between Aylesbury Vale Parkway and Amersham.

Saturday: No trains north of High Wycombe or Aylesbury due to a combination of planned civil works and a strike.

There are two trains per hour in both directions between London Marylebone and High Wycombe and one train per hour between London Marylebone and Aylesbury via Amersham.

– Cross Country

Thursday: There are no direct flights between Birmingham and Cambridge,Cardiff, Nottingham, Peterborough and Stansted.

A very limited service is planned between Birmingham and Bristol. Edinburgh via Leeds,York, Newcastle. Leicester; Manchester; and Southampton via Reading.

Saturday: There are no direct flights between Birmingham and Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Nottingham, Peterborough and Stansted airports.

Very limited services are planned from Birmingham to Manchester, Southampton and Derby to Edinburgh via Leeds, York and Newcastle.

– East Midlands Railway

Only one train per hour runs in each direction between London St Pancras and Nottingham and Sheffield stations. Hmm. Between both Derby and Matlock and Nottingham.

There is also an hourly service between Nottingham and Leicester on Thursdays, but not on Saturdays.

All other routes are closed.

– Gatwick Express

Service will be stopped. Passengers to and from Gatwick Airport are served by Southern and Thameslink trains.

– Grand Central

Three services each way between King's Cross in London and Northallerton and Wakefield Kirkgate.

– Great Northern

Few trains, no service east of Ely to King's Lynn.

– Great Western Railway

All lines in Cornwall, branch lines in Devon, between Cardiff and Swansea, between Bath and Portsmouth, and many other lines do not operate.

– Greater Anglia

On strike days the company will not run trains on local and branch lines.

Some routes to and from London Liverpool Street have very limited service.

– Heathrow Express

Full service, but only from 7:30am to 6:10pm.

– Hull Trains

Trains only run between Doncaster and London King's Cross, with 5 trains in each direction.

– London North Eastern Railway

Thursday: Only two trains per hour between Edinburgh and London King's Cross, part of the route There is one train per hour.

Saturday: Only one train per hour runs between Edinburgh and London King's Cross, with two trains per hour on parts of the route.

– London North Western Railway

Birmingham New Street, Crew and London Euston will operate a limited service to and from both.

Other routes will be closed.

– Lumo

Shortened timetables between London King's Cross and Edinburgh.

– Merseyrail

Limited service will operate.

There are no trains running between Chester and Rock Ferry or between Ellesmere Port and Rock Ferry.

– North

Passengers are urged to 'do not travel' as trains operate only a few routes.

Routes to be opened include Liverpool to Manchester. From Manchester to Alderley Edge. From York to Leeds. And from Leeds to Sheffield.

– Scotrail

Trains only pass through the Central Belt, Fife and Borders.

– South Western Railway

London Only between Waterloo and Basingstoke, Southampton, Windsor and Woking, 'very limited service'. increase.

– South East

Only 44 of the 180 stations are open, with most of the network in Kent and East Sussex closed.

Expressway opens to Ashford International.

– Much of the South

network will be shut down.

Services will run on the Brighton main line to London Bridge and London Victoria, with additional trains from Tattenham Corner, Epsom Downs, Sutton and West Croydon via Crystal Palace.

– Stansted Express

On Thursdays there are two trains an hour between Liverpool Street in London and Stansted Airport.

Saturday details not available.

– Thameslink

There are significantly fewer trains than usual.

The service is split between North and South, with nothing running between London St Pancras and London Bridge.

– TransPennine Express

Very limited services. The routes to be opened are as follows. From Manchester Airport to Preston. From Manchester Piccadilly to York. From Newcastle to Edinburgh. And from Cleethorpes to Sheffield.

– Welsh Transport

Most lines will be closed.

Runs once an hour between Cardiff and Newport, with limited trains elsewhere.

West Midlands Railway

Limited service between Litchfield Trent Valley and Redditch/Bromsgrove via Birmingham New Street. Crewe and Birmingham New Street via Wolverhampton. Birmingham New Street and London Euston via Northampton.
