  • Jill Scott claims she never aimed to win the show

Reflecting on her win, football star Scott says: "The aim was never to be Queen of the jungle, just to complete the journey.

"I still can't believe it, it's going to take a while for it to sink in."

The jungle queen beat Owen Warner and Matt Hancock to scoop this year's crown.

  • Matt Hancock admits signing up for I'm A Celeb was 'controversial'

Matt Hancock has said he knew joining I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! would be "controversial".

But the disgraced MP pointed out how ultimately "millions of people" voted for him.

The former health secretary, 44, whose stint in the Australian jungle prompted criticism from the Prime Minister and MPs across the political spectrum, came third during the series finale on Sunday, claiming 21.7% of the initial public vote.

This placed him behind former England footballer Jill Scott in first place and Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner as runner-up.

During the post-series Coming Out Show on Thursday, he will be seen exiting the campsite to be reunited with his partner Gina Coladangelo and attending a wrap party.

Hancock resigned as health secretary in June last year after he was caught breaking coronavirus social distancing rules by having an affair with Coladangelo, then his aide, in his ministerial office.

  • Gina Coladangelo comes face to face with Boy George

After being reunited with friends and family at a hotel outside camp, Coladangelo introduces herself to Boy George, who had a fractious relationship with Hancock on the show.

The Culture Club frontman tells her: "It's all cool love, we got on in the end."

The special episode will also show the moments after each contestant was eliminated from camp and reunited with friends and family.

  • Owen Warner reveals dramatic weight loss on ‘jungle diet’

I’m A Celeb star Owen Warner has revealed how much weight he lost on his ‘jungle diet.’

During his time in the camp, the 23-year-old had been desperate for as much food as possible and struggled with the rations they were given.

Away from the jungle, Owen revealed that typically he’s used to eating a whopping six meals a day.

Now, after a diet of rice and beans for the last few weeks, the former campmate has revealed he lost a stone in weight and weighed in at 12st 2oz (78kg).

He’d originally gone into the jungle weighing 13st 3oz (85kg).

  • Gina says it took Matt Hancock 'a few days to relax' in the jungle

Driving to the production site, in tonight's episode Matt is seen asking girlfriend Gina: "Of course I'm curious to how it's gone - was I authentically me?"

Coladangelo replies: "It took a few days I felt for you to relax.

Hancock adds: "When I was being grilled in the early days, I felt like people were asking me on behalf of the British public.

"I knew going in it would be controversial but I also know millions of people have voted for me."

  • Matt Hancock to relfect on controversial IAC stint in tonight's special espidoe

During the post-series Coming Out Show tonight, Matt Hancock will be seen exiting the I'm A Celebrity campsite to be reunited with his partner Gina Coladangelo and attending a wrap party.

  • Jill Scott on Matt Hancock

Former health secretary Matt Hancock had a bit of drama with some of the campers, but not with Queen of the Jungle Jill Scott.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, she praised him for the great work he’d done in the Bushtucker trials to win the camp food.

She said: “I haven’t had a chance to catch up so I still feel I’m in a little bubble. I did feel like when we got in that jungle, everyone was just equal.

“In there, food is so important, to go on trials and win stars – he did that, to be fair. He smashed the trials. As long as he was feeding us, I was happy.”

  • Steph McGovern reveals secret health problems that led her to turn IAC down

PACKED Lunch host Steph McGovern revealed that she was forced to turn down I’m A Celebrity due to a health reason.

The TV presenter, 40, said she's been asked several times to take part in the ITV show, but has been reluctant to sign up as she has irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Channel 4 star Steph explained that she worries that the jungle diet would wreak havoc on her body.

IBS is a common condition that affects the digestive system and can causes symptoms like stomach cramps, bloating and diarrhoea.

“I’m not scared about eating things,” she said.

“My main worry is about would be how my body would react. You see, I’m the type of person who gets a small bite and then my whole leg swells up.

“I’ve also got IBS too so I’d be scared that if I ate something that disagreed with me I’d probably end up [bleep]ing myself on TV. “It’s not mentally how I’d deal with it, but more physically how my body would work,” she added.

Charlene captioned the sweet snap: "Missed these hugs maaaaaaan. Missed these two so much ❤️❤️. The school run was quite something this afternoon, they’ve both grown so much 🥰."

  • Jill Scott was praised as ‘inspirational’ by her former PE teacher

Jill Scott‘s home city, Sunderland, is over the moon with her success in I’m A Celebrity.

Her former PE teacher at Monkwearmouth Academy, which Jill attended from 1997 to 2022, said that the former Lioness is a “true inspiration” for the younger generation and the school is “extremely proud” of her.

Former teacher Judith O’Leary said, as reported by the Sunderland Echo: “It’s unbelievable what Jill has achieved this year, first at the Euro’s and then in I’m a Celebrity. I’ve been blown away by what she’s done.

“But what you see is what you get with Jill and the whole nation saw just what a genuine person she is – something which was recognised by the other camp-mates.

“She comes back to visit the school and is always very humble and down-to-earth. On the show last night she said she couldn’t believe 12 million people had phoned in to vote – and she said that because she genuinely doesn’t appreciate how wonderful she is.”

Ant and Dec revealed that there were over 12million votes cast in during the final.

Upon the incredible news, Jill Scott said: “I just can’t believe it. Honestly, I think I’m going to owe my grandma a lot of money for the 12 million votes she’s done. We were one big team, I don’t think there should be one winner, we couldn’t have got through it without all of us.”

Farrow told the MailOnline: “he is a successful footballer, has a MBE and has won over millions of people on I’m a Celeb. She can make a fortune. • Everyone wants Owen

After his success on I’m A Celeb, fans think that Owen Warner won’t stay on Hollyoaks for much longer, despite the 23-month contract he signed just before he went into the jungle.

A source close to Owen said: “The approaches have already started from big, household family brands. He takes such good care of his physical and mental health, has family values and a strong work ethic and that’s all a big plus to these sorts of companies.

“He’s a really safe bet for brands and he is a clothes horse for sure! But he’s likely to be really selective about what he does and he will take great care to consider who he is aligning with.”

The former health secretary, who came in third place, was desperate for the comedic duo to indulge in a bit of banter – but instead he got grilled.

Judi James explained: “Within moments, Matt was in full political mode, looking wary and full of bluster as he used verbal fillers as his eyes scanned about to prompt his brain to dig deep for some on-message responses.

“The way Matt’s eyes also flicked from Ant to Dec as he spoke suggested he was desperately looking for those cheeky smiles and jolly banter but getting next to nothing.”

She continued to the Metro: “He tried to be funny, and he went for a fun eye expression but the only laugh from the other side of the table sounded rather mirthless as Dec asked ‘Do you understand those reactions?’ like a seasoned political interviewer.”
