The South Lanarkshire Community Council is looking for enthusiastic members.
The Cambuslang Community Council has vacancies and is looking for people with a strong interest in supporting projects and campaigns. This comes ahead of the October elections for all established community councils across South Lanarkshire.
The Community Council has been successful with a variety of projects, including improvements to the town centre.

Cambuslang Community Council Chairman John Bachtler commented on improvements to the town center.
He said:
“One of the most important things we've done is focus on that because one of the things that we've learned from community engagement is that people are becoming citizens.
Growing up in Cambuslang, the loss of local industry and the shift to online shopping has made the town center less vibrant than it used to be.
"So for us The big thing is that we have secured almost £1 million from the Scottish Government's Town Centers Fund and worked with South Lanarkshire County Council to get a new 'cityscape', including new paving and new furniture. The same is true for a good part of the town center. ''
The Community Council also created a welcoming entrance to the town through the Cambuslang Gateway Project. This led to murals being placed at the town entrance and at the railway station. This was made possible by lottery funds.
We also brightened up the town center with 'Cambuslang in Bloom', with members planting bright flowers and hanging his baskets to make the town more welcoming.
By developing , we hope to create new outdoor facilities for locals and further develop into an international standard sports and leisure park.
The Community Council has so far raised her £1.5 million and worked with partners to create Skills His Circuit to increase opportunities for people to learn cycling.
In addition, Holmhills Wood Community Park has improved green space for locals and wildlife.
Other successful projects include working with local schools and the wider community to remove trash from the streets through the Clean Up Cambuslang campaign, which has involved 600 of her members to date. It is included.
The Community Council also supports and promotes local businesses through the Cambuslang Loves Local project.
All banks closed In the town center, community groups were able to reach out to the financial sector and participate in the Access to Cash Pilot.
Cambuslang is one of the first banking hubs in the UK where he combined the post office and her five banks into one unit and set up a branch.
