Man Utd news LIVE: Cristiano Ronaldo ‘tempted’ by Chelsea, Atletico to listen to Felix offers, Gary Neville EXCLUSIVE

PORTUGUESE legend Cristiano Ronaldo is 'tempted' by a move to Manchester United's Premier League rivals Chelsea according to reports.

Ronaldo, 37, has reportedly had two huge offers from Saudi clubs Al Nassr and Al Hilal earlier on this week.

But it has been claimed that Blues owner Todd Boehly is eager to revive his interest in the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.

Meanwhile, United are reportedly in a three-way transfer battle for Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

And reports suggest that Atletico Madrid are now willing to listen to offers from potential buyers.

And SunSport have exclusively revealed that Red Devils icon Gary Neville is in the clear after his online comment delayed Ryan Giggs' trial.

  • Cristiano Ronaldo's Chelsea links resurface

Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo will be focused on guiding his side to a World Cup quarter-final on Tuesday but club football will be in the back of his mind too.

Ronaldo, 37 has reportedly had two huge offers from Saudi clubs Al Nassr and Al Hilal earlier on this week.

But reports suggest that Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has held talks with Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes.

And the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is 'tempted' by the move.

  • Morning, United fans

The Red Devils could battle continental giants for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi and Atletico Madrid attacker Joao Felix.

Barcelona are rated United's prime rivals for one-cap Spaniard Zubimendi.

Old Trafford chief Erik ten Hag has persistently been linked with such a new anchorman.

And the growing speculation over Zubimendi comes as Brazil rested United's £60million midfield star Casemiro.

Alex Telles and Antony joined Fred to give the Red Devils THREE starters for the World Cup favourites in their shock 1-0 loss against Cameroon.

But the former two might not have done enough to keep their place for Brazil's Monday's last-16 clash with South Korea on Monday.

Meanwhile, United have been urged to act quickly if they want to land versatile Portugal attacker Joao Felix.

Bayern Munich and PSG are reportedly considering huge bids in the summer.

And it's thought United might succeed if they offer around £86million in January.

So far, though, Ten Hag appears to prefer PSG wideman Cody Gakpo.

  • Scholes names replacement options for Ron

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has urged his former club to replace Cristiano Ronaldo with either PSV Eindhoven star Cody Gakpo or RB Leipzig ace Christopher Nkunku.

Speaking on MUTV’s The Debate, Scholes said: “I think there’s a couple of forwards they might look at. The kid at RB Leipzig that’s been linked with Chelsea, Nkunku. Centre-forward is obviously the big position that needs filling.

“We have Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford who can both play there, but I think Marcus prefers being out wide and Antony’s injury record isn’t great.

“January might be too soon [to replace Ronaldo], they’re probably looking at next summer now, but I do think there are players out there.”

Sholes added: “The lad at PSV – Gakpo – is doing really well for the Netherlands at the World Cup, and I think [Erik] Ten Hag has been really interested in him before. There are players out there for sure.

“January can be a tough window to do business but I hope we can do something and bring in a new centre-forward”

  • Zubimendi latest anchorman on list

United and Barcelona could fight it out for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.

We told you earlier this week that Red Devils’ boss Erik ten Hag is reportedly keen to find another midfield anchorman.

Brazil star Casemiro is still being bedded in after his £60million summer arrival from Real Madrid.

Fred and Scott McTominay have also yet to fully convince.

And so far Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong has proved elusive.

Now it’s claimed United are emerging as serious rivals to Barca for Zubimendi.

The one-cap Spaniard only extended his Sociedad contract in October.

The new deal is thought to include a £51.5million release clause.

  • United 'keen on Sasa'

Torino midfielder Sasa Lukic is a new name being mentioned for Manchester United.

Leeds and Everton have already been linked with the Serbian World Cup star, 26.

And Lukic has another chance to impress in Qatar tonight when they face Switzerland in a must-win clash.

Roma are also said to be interested as he approaches the final 18 months of his contract.

Although mainly a central midfielder, Lukic can also play as an anchorman or just behind the attack.

  • I'm Evra Su sorry... not really!

Patrice Evra revelled in Luis Suarez's World Cup heartbreak as he LIKED an Instagram photo of the Uruguay striker sobbing.

Suarez couldn't hold back the tears after his side were dramatically knocked out of the tournament on goals scored.

Hwang Hee-chan's last gasp 91st minute winner for South Korea against Portugal sent Suarez and Co home early.

The South Americans beat Ghana 2-0 but went out at the group stages on the same amount of points as South Korea, having scored two less goals.

While Suarez's team-mates reacted angrily to the defeat, including Edinson Cavani punching the VAR monitor, the 36-year-old started sobbing after hearing news of Hwang's late winner for South Korea.

And Manchester United legend Evra, 41, didn't seem to mind the result too much.

Evra liked a post from Instagram account 433 of Suarez in tears at full-time.

Suarez was banned for eight matches and fined £40,000 by the FA in 2011 after being found guilty of racially abusing Evra while playing for Liverpool.

    He denied the allegations.

Suarez then famously refused to shake Evra's hand when he returned from his ban.

  • You've got the date Ron

Manchester United fans will still see Cristiano Ronaldo in 2023 — in the official club calendar.

The Portugal hitman’s exit last month was too late for him to be replaced as Mr January in the merchandise.

It has left the £10.99 product — “perfect for any Manchester United fan with images of players from the current squad” — badly out of date.

Ronaldo, 37, and United settled on a “mutually agreed” split after he slammed the club in an interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV.

During it he had said he had “no respect” for manager Erik ten Hag.

The club is now trying to cash in on what is left of their Ronaldo stock at knockdown prices.

T-shirts costing £20 and £10 mugs are now a fiver.

A keyring that cost £5 is now £2 in the club shop and also online.

Ronaldo, currently starring for Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar, is tipped to sign with Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia in a £173million deal including wages and other endorsements.

  • Felix race hots up

United have been urged to act quickly to lure Atletico Madrid attacker Joao Felix.

Baynern Munich and PSG are reportedly considering huge bids for the Portugal star, 23, in the summer.

And United might need to make their move in January.

It's thought Old Trafford chiefs had a bid of around £111million rejected last summer but might be able to sign him now for closer to £86m.

So far, though, United boss Erik ten Hag appears to have a preference for PSG wideman Cody Gakpo.

  • 'Replace Ron with Gakpo or Nkunku'

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has urged his former club to replace Cristiano Ronaldo with either PSV Eindhoven star Cody Gakpo or RB Leipzig ace Christopher Nkunku.

Speaking on MUTV’s The Debate, Scholes said: “I think there’s a couple of forwards they might look at. The kid at RB Leipzig that’s been linked with Chelsea, Nkunku. Centre-forward is obviously the big position that needs filling.

“January can be a tough window to do business but I hope we can do something and bring in a new centre-forward”

  • Mauricio hails Marcus

Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has praised Manchester United and England star Marcus Rashford.

Pochettino said: “I’ve always liked [Rashford].

“I knew of his process because I was in England, but I think he’s a great player.

“He just needs the confidence and for himself to believe, to put him at the top level.

“The quality is there for him”

  • Utd trio start for Brazil

United strs Alex Telles, Fred and Antony feature for much-changed Brazil against Cameroon in the World Cup tonight.

    Cameroon: 16. Epassy, 19. Fai Collins, 4. Wooh, 24. Ebosse, 25. Tolo, 8. Anguissa, 15. Kunde, 20. Mbeumo, 13. Choupo-Moting, 6. Ngamaleu, 10. Aboubakar

    Brazil: 3. Ederson, 14. Militao, 24. Bremer, 16. Alex Telles, 15. Fabinho, 8. Fred, 19. Antony, 21. Rodrygo, 26. Martinelli, 18. Gabriel Jesus

  • I'd be a disaster next to Bruno

Paul Scholes claims him playing alongside Bruno Fernandes would have been an "absolute disaster" for Manchester United.

Fernandes has been a Red Devils' fixture for the past two seasons - amid problems elsewhere in midfield.

But Old Trafford legend Scholes believes, even if both were at their peak, they'd be "all over the place" as a combination.

The former England hero believes he'd be far better next to United's Brazil anchorman Casemiro.

Asked whether he'd prefer to play with Portugal's Fernandes or Casemiro, Scholes had no problems in opting for the £60million, ex-Real Madrid man.

He told Man Utd’s club media: “It’s quite an easy question because of the style of play.

“He probably reminds me of [Michael] Carrick, [Nicky] Butt, Roy Keane and those type of players.

“With Bruno, I think we would be all over the place and us two together in midfield would be an absolute disaster!"

  • Red Devils 'join Leeds & Everton eyeing Lukic'

Torino midfielder Sasa Lukic is a new name being mentioned for Manchester United.

Leeds and Everton have already been linked with the Serbian World Cup star, 26.

And Lukic has another chance to impress in Qatar tonight when they face Switzerland in a must-win clash.

  • Glazers out by May?

Manchester United could have new owners before the end of the Premier League season.

According to the BBC, a deal between the Glazers and a new owner could be ironed out by spring.

Last week, the Americans claimed they were considering selling United following 17 years in charge.

In a statement, Joel and Avram said: “As we seek to continue building on the club’s history of success, the board has authorised a thorough evaluation of strategic alternatives.

“We will evaluate all options to ensure that we best serve our fans and that Manchester United maximises the significant growth opportunities available to the club today and in the future.

“Throughout this process we will remain fully focused on serving the best interests of our fans, shareholders, and various stakeholders”

  • Rice exit hint

England star and Manchester United target Declan Rice hinted at an imminent West Ham exit after admitting he is “100 per cent” hungry to win trophies.

Rice’s hunger for titles has increased while playing with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Jordan Henderson and Mason Mount, who have won Premier League and Champions League titles.

That has opened the door wide to Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and other suitors.

Rice said during England’s press conference when asked is he is hungry to win titles on club level: “Yeah, 100 per cent. For the last two or three years I’ve been saying that.

“I’ve been consistently playing well for my club. I want to win trophies for my club.

“You only get one career and you want to look back at what you’ve won and play in the biggest games. I am really ambitious and I want that”

  • Tops shall be nameless

Manchester United and Arsenal and fans will be able to snap up sponsorless shirts from next season.

Newly promoted Nottingham Forest also currently play without a sponsor on their kits.

But the Gunners and United’s sponsorless version won’t be worn on the pitch, according to Footy Headlines.

Instead a sponsorless version will be available to the fans only and the sponsorless version won’t be available for all of the latest kits

  • Pochettino praises Rashford

Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has praised Manchester United and England star Marcus Rashford.

Pochettino said: "I’ve always liked [Rashford].

“He just needs the confidence and for himself to believe, to put him at the top level.

"The quality is there for him”

  • Injury boost

Manchester United ace Axel Tuanzebe is hoping to be fit for the resumption of the Premier League season.

According to MEN, Tuanzebe is gearing up for a return after the World Cup break.

The defender has been sidelined since July with a back problem, but has been working at Carrington during the 2022 World Cup.

His most recent appearance for United came in the 2021 Europa League final against Villarreal

  • Stones addresses Maguire criticism

England ace John Stones addressed recent criticism aimed at Manchester United captain Harry Maguire.

Stones said: “All three games he has been terrific. It is about finding that partnership again and we have done in the three games and we need to keep improving. Credit to him.

“I have been asked a lot of questions about Harry but knowing what he has been going through at his club, it speaks volumes to come through this and still believe in himself.

“There has been a lot of noise from the outside which he has not listened to. Credit to him”

  • Cristiano Ronaldo starts

Cristiano Ronaldo starts Portugal’s final group game as he looks to make the World Cup all about him again, writes SunSport’s Andy Dillon from the Education City Stadium.

He needs just one goal to level the record of nine in his country set by legendary Eusebio.

Ronny was rated at just 50/50 for the game just to get everyone talking about him again. It was only a few days ago he threw his toys out of the pram for not being credited with a goal against Uruguay.

The Portuguese are already through and South Korea need to win to stand any chance of going through to the last 16. It’s a tall order

  • Next owner update

Manchester United could have new owners before the end of the Premier League season.

According to the BBC, a deal between the Glazers and a new owner could be ironed out by spring.

  • Bruno Fernandes interest

Real Madrid have identified Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes as a transfer target.

Real Madrid have reignited their interest in Fernandes and according to Record the club have sent scouts to watch the Portugal international in Qatar.

The report adds Real could make a move for the playmaker in January or at the end of the season.

Los Blancos often sign players who impress at World Cups, such as Mesut Ozil, James Rodriguez and Eden Hazard in previous occasions

  • Beck of you

Barcelona star Sergio Busquets admits he would like to join Manchester United legend David Beckham's Inter Miami "above all".

Busquets, 34, told Cadena Ser: "I know it's the last year [of my contract], but I have always said that I have nothing signed with anyone. I would like to have some certainty by February.

"I have always said I would like to play in the United States, above all in Miami, but from there I have not reached any agreement with any club - in the US or in any other league.

"Barcelona will be the first to know. When I have made a decision, I will tell them"
