Scottish Police have released a list of weapons that will no longer be legal to own at home from December. Handing over these weapons to a police officer may result in a reward.
The list issued under the Surrender and Compensation Scheme for Knives and Edged Weapons is that theScottish Governmenthas released 21 weapons from his Dec. Butterfly, including his knife and knuckleduster. was published prior to the ban on possession of 1.
Placing these weapons in public was already a criminal offense, but keeping them at home will soon become criminal as well.
Civilians are required to turn in weapons to designated police stations by September 30 in exchange forcompensation.All weapons submitted after this date will be confiscated and the owner will be entitled to compensation.
Police have also issued guidance on the documents required to claim compensation, such as proof of ownership and photo identification, and the scheme will further , states that anyone surrendering weapons must fill out a claim form that can be downloaded from the scheme's website before going to the station. The value of the weapon or the total value of the weapon must be £30 or more to claim compensation. The full list of weapons covered by the

Balisong or Butterfly Knife - £9
A blade wrapped in a hilt. The handle is split in the middle to reveal the blade without the use of springs or other mechanical means.
Belt Buckle Knife - £5
Buckles that incorporate or hide knives.
Blowpipe or Blowgun - £14
A hollow tube that uses your breath to fire hard pellets or darts.
Cyclone Knife or Spiral Knife - £30
A weapon with a handle and a blade with two or more cutting edges that each form a helix, with a sharp point at the end of the blade.
Disguised Knife - £5
A knife with a hidden blade or hidden sharp point that looks like a household item. This can be a comb, brush, pen, lighter, keys, lipstick, phone, etc.
Flick Knife or Flick Gun - £20
A knife that can be opened by something other than a handle. This includes knives that automatically open from a closed or partially open position to a fully open position by pressing a button, spring, or other device attached to the knife or the knife .
Toenail - £7
A rod of metal or other hard material with sharp spikes protruding from it. Toenails are attached to shoes.
Gravity Knife - £40
A knife with a blade on the handle. The blades open by gravity. A button, trigger, or fulcrum lever is used to open and close the blade, and may use side folding or telescopic blades.
Handclaw - £9
A band of metal or other hard material from which sharp spikes protrude. Hand claws are worn around the hands.
Hollow Kubotan - £3
A cylindrical vessel with sharp spikes.
Knuckleduster - £2
A band of metal or other hard material worn on one or more fingers designed to injure another person. This also includes weapons, including knuckle dusters.
Kusarigama - £35
A rope, cord, wire, or chain with one end tied to a sickle.
Kyoketsu Shoge - £20
A rope, cord, wire, or chain with one end tied to a hooked knife.
Manly Chain or Chain - £10
A rope, cord, wire, or chain with the ends tied to a solid weight or grip.
Push Dagger - £2
A knife with a handle that fits in a clenched fist. A blade appears between his two fingers.
Shuriken or Shake or Death Star - £5
A hard plate with 3 or more sharp radiating points. Made to be thrown.
Stealth Knife - £3
A knife or spike made of a material unrecognizable by a metal detector. Do not use it for cooking food or as a toy.
Batons or Batons - £10
Straight Sidehand or Friction lock truncheon. Also called a baton. h
Swordstick - £12
A hollow staff or staff containing a sword.
Telescoping Batons - £20
A baton that opens automatically by pressing a button, spring, or other device attached to the handle.
Zombie Knife - £10
A blade that has a cutting edge and a serrated edge, with images or words (on the blade or hilt) suggesting violent intent.
Weapons must be safe for the bearer and the police to handle. Weapons must be wrapped invisibly and kept in a bag or box.
The Scottish Government remits by bank transfer or check.
