But Prince Harry was "just desperately unhappy in the last couple of years of his working life", an unnamed source has told The Times.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attempted to initiate their departure from royal life via email and it "went down incredibly badly", a royal correspondent has claimed.

Valentine Low of The Times claimed the Duke of Sussex appeared to be "under the impression that they could just sort it out by email before he and Meghan got back to London" after their Christmas holiday with their newborn son to Canada in 2019.

But the Duke and Duchess were then told it would "require a proper family conversation", Mr Low claimed.

The positions are currently reserved for the monarch's spouse, and the four royals next in line to the throne, as long as they are over 21.

Netflix has confirmed that the fifth series of Royal Family-based drama, The Crown, will air as originally planned.

The new instalment will be made available to the public on November 9, the streaming giant confirmed.

The new season will focus largely on Princess Diana's divorce from Charles, and will see Imelda Staunton take up the role of the Queen.

King Charles III is likely to have his coronation in "spring or summer" next year, the Telegraph reports.

Prince Harry made a "spectacularly rude" comment during a 2018 royal tour of the south Pacific, a royal correspondent has claimed.

Valentine Low, of The Times, wrote that Prince Harry was "rushed" in a promised address to reporters after a five-hour flight from Tonga to Syndey.

He claimed the Duke's press team promised media crews a message of thanks from the prince.

Mr Low claimed in 'Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown' the Duke sounded "rushed", telling reporters: "Thanks for coming."

Harry then reportedly said: "Even though you weren't invited."

Prince Harry "should withdraw" his upcoming memoirs, Nile Gardiner, former aide to Margaret Thatcher and monarchy enthusiast, has told Express.co.uk.

The book deal, announced last year, will be "wholly truthful", the Duke of Sussex said in promotional material.

But Mr Gardiner told Express.co.uk: "The book clearly is clearly going to be hugely controversial and may well contain a great deal of criticism of the Royal Family.

"It will likely be a very highly-charged book, and Harry should do the right thing and withdraw his book from publication.

"Especially in the wake of the Queen's death as it would be very disrespectful to put out such a book.

"Both Harry and Meghan run the risk of being exiled from the UK and not welcomed back into the country by the British people with this book."

Prince Harry is "desperately" trying to make last-minute changes to his tell-all memoir following the death of the Queen, it has been claimed.

The Duke of Sussex reportedly fears some sections "might not look so good" so soon after the late monarch's passing and his father King Charles taking to the throne.

A source told The Sun on Sunday that "a lot of money and energy has been spent to make sure it comes out this year".

The insider added: “But Harry has thrown a spanner in the works as he is desperate to get it refined in the light of the Queen’s death, her funeral and his father Charles taking the throne.

“There may be things which might not look so good if they come out so soon after the Queen’s death and his dad becoming King.

"He wants sections changed. It’s not a total rewrite by any means. He desperately wants to make changes. But it might be too late.”

King Charles and Camilla have been spotted arriving at church near Balmoral.

The King and Queen Consort were pictured being driven to Crathie Kirk which is not far from the private royal residence in the Scottish Highlands on Sunday morning.

King Charles has not decided whether to allow Archie and Lilibet to use their Prince and Princess titles, it has been claimed.

The Sunday Times reports that the move has stoked tensions with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who are living in California after quitting royal duties in 2020.

The Sussexes are said to fear Charles may strip their two children of their titles after he did not immediately recognise them following the late Queen's death.

Meghan Markle "surprised" the Queen by wearing pure white for her and Prince Harry's royal wedding, a new book claims.

Royal author Katie Nicholl cited a source as saying the late monarch believed that divorcees should wear off-white when they marry again.

According to Ms Nicholl's book The New Royals, the source said: "The Queen was surprised that Meghan wore pure white on her wedding day.

"Perhaps it's a generational thing, but she believes if you've been married before, you wear off-white on your wedding day, which is what the Duchess of Cornwall did."

Prince Harry has been issued a stark warning over his upcoming memoir, with a commentator saying that any further "attacks" on the royal family would "significantly undermine his own standing".

Royal commentator Nile Gardiner told Express.co.uk there is "far less public appetite" for books from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II's death.

He said any "attacks on the Royal Family" would be seen as being in "very poor taste".

The Queen's beloved corgis were "with her in the room" during her final hours at Balmoral Castle, according to reports.

The Mail on Sunday reports that Muick and Sandy, the late monarch's two corgis, were with her before she passed away.

Her Majesty was known for her love of corgis and owned 30 during her 70 years on the throne.

Meghan Markle's father hopes reconciliation between the Duke of Sussex and Prince of Wales could help reunite his own family.

Thomas Markle, 78, watched the Queen's funeral with his son Thomas Jr and was heartened to see William and Harry making a show of unity.

Meghan's stepbrother Thomas Jr told the Sunday Mirror: "We both watched clips of the Queen’s funeral together.

"I was overcome with emotion at how every person spectating was honoured to be there and respectful."

The majority of Britons back plans to have a bank holiday in honour of Queen Elizabeth II, a new poll suggests.

The survey by Techne UK found 79 percent of respondents support having a new bank holiday named after the late monarch.

Some 18 percent said no and three percent did not know.

Prince Harry has been urged to "do the right thing" and "withdraw" the upcoming release of his book or risk being "exiled" from the UK with his wife Meghan Markle.

Nile Gardiner, a monarchy enthusiast, foreign policy expert and former aide to Margaret Thatcher, told Express.co.uk: "Prince Harry should withdraw his upcoming book. The book clearly is clearly going to be hugely controversial and may well contain a great deal of criticism of the Royal Family.

A California-based commentator believes King Charles III will travel across the pond for an official visit to the US in the near future.

Brand and reputation management expert Eric Schiffer said the new monarch isn't yet as loved or understood as the late Queen in America.

However, he has his own strengths, such as a unique ability to connect with the public during walkabouts, which could help boost his image across the Atlantic, Mr Schiffer added.
