Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin has come under fire after a video of her drinking and dancing at a house party with friends was leaked online.
Marin, 36, is the leader of the Social Democratic Party (SDP),she is Finland's youngest prime minister in history, having been appointed to the top position in December 2019. I got a seat. The clip is partying to a song by rapper Petri Nygaard and pop singer Anti Twisk.
According to Finnish Iltalehti newspaper, the footage includes singer Alma, social media influencer Janita Autio, TV host Tinni Wikstrom, YouTuber Ilona Ylikorpi, and radio host Karolina Tuominen, stylist Vesa Silver and another member of parliament from Marin's own political party, Ilmari Nurminen.
Opposition politicians were quick to capitalize on the incident. Some conservative Finns appear to consider this to amount to unfair conduct by political leaders and have asked the prime minister to undergo a drug test over allegations of the word "jauojengi." is used in the video, possibly alluding to cocaine.
Ms Marin, who heads a coalition of five political parties,has already expressed her willingness to do her duty,and she said: Declaring. I have never taken drugs.
"Personally, I did not do drugs or consume anything other than alcohol. I danced, sang, and partied. It's perfectly legal, and I've never been in a situation where I saw or knew anyone [using drugs]."
