Strictly Come Dancing 2022 LIVE: Gorka’s fiancee ‘relieved’ her beau was partnered with ‘genuine’ Helen Skelton

STRICTLY Come Dancing's 'curse' won't touch pro Gorka Marquez, or his fiancee Gemma Atkinson as she was pleased he was put with Helen Skelton.

Gemma Atkinson swats away the "Strictly curse" as she was reportedly feeling "relieved" that her fiancee was partnered with "genuine" television presenter Helen Skelton.

"A lot of Gemma's mates were wondering if she would be worried about the Strictly curse but she laughs it off and just wants to embrace Helen into the family and support her," a source told Heat magazine.

They continued: "Gemma doesn't want the endless speculation about the curse, she absolutely trusts Gorka and thinks that Helen is a sweetheart. She's being extremely positive and encouraging of the pairing and wants them to go all the way."

Gorka's fiancee even took to Instagram to cheer the pairing on, writing: " C'mon!!! Go out there and shine Helen! You're gonna have the most amazing time on Strictly! Will be rooting for you both," and even tagged her fiancé Gorka, and Helen.

    Joanne Clifton commented on Ellie and Johannes Saturday night routine on It Takes Two, and Craig said they looked as though they were just "walking around".

    Joanne said: "That's not fair at all. I think she was amazing. The lines, the silhouettes at the beginning especially.

    "I think she needs a little bit more drama, have the pelvis forward, but also I agree with Shirley of the angles."

  • Tony Adams apologises for accidentally dropping Katya

    During Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals, ex footballer Tony Adams dropped Katya and was worried he might have broken her arm.

    He sent out a Tweet that read: "That was a little bit better - but a lot more fun.

    “Thanks to everyone who voted for me - am trying my hardest to get it right, but at times I revert to type.

    “Scroll to see my Stevie Morrow moment in training,” he added, tweeting a clip from rehearsals. 

    Above the video, he issued an apology, writing: “Sorry @Mrs_katjones (and Steve. Still sorry after all these years…)” He said in reference to accidentally breaking his team mate's arm, Steve Morrow.

    Despite being on our screens as a presenter and actress after her stint as on fifth of Hear’Say, fans are reportedly not rooting for Kym.

    Kym Marsh is dancing with Graziano di Prima, and so far the pair have been doing well.

    According to the Express, a survey by Mediaworks suggests that fans are yet to get behind the pair.

  • Fans beg Strictly star to make ex jealous

    Helen Skelton split from her ex husband Richie Myler recently, and has taken to the stage on Strictly Come Dancing.

    The television presenter was told by her dance partner to work on her "sexiness".

    Fans want her to use Strictly to make her ex wish he had never left her, one wrote on Twitter: "I really want Helen Skelton to enjoy this & smash the hell out of it! She deserves it #Strictly.

    "Mainly for her... but also a MASSIVE [middle finger emoji] to her vile cheating lying ex husband."

    In his memoir, More Than You Know, he wrote:  "A man tried to snatch me into a car. I can still see his face vividly, dark-haired and with a moustache.

    "I often used to sit on the wall by an old people's home. One day I was there, just hanging out and being a kid really, when I heard a noise behind me.

    "I looked round and saw this man reaching for me. Over his shoulder I could see his car parked by the grass verge with the back door open.

    "I jumped off the wall which was ten feet off the pavement and ran all the way home. It scared the hell out of me," the Daily Mail reported.

    The broadcaster and dancer have attempted to squash rumours that there may be problem.

    Viewers took to social media to question why the pair were sat in separate seats on It Takes Two on Monday, while Kaye and Kai were sat together on a sofa.

    Richie and Giovanni made clear there was no problem and instead spoke to Rylan about their dance on Saturday.

    Richie said: "It's been a long week. Saturday morning I was still making mistakes, I was still going wrong, when we did that kicking thing I was kicking Gio by accident.

    "And on Saturday night luckily it all came together, I dunno how, but I'm not mad about it, and it was just fantastic and to get that feedback from the judges was just incredible."

    Talking about what it was like to Rylan Clark on Strictly's Spin off, It Takes Two, Kaye said: "I did it as well as I could. That's all I can really say.

    "You know, as I have said from the beginning, I am not a dancer - which is perfectly obvious - but I gave it everything that I could.

    "I've seen a few people say "She was like a rabbit in the headlights".

    "All I can say is, yeah, I was. I blanked. I was tired."

    Rose Ayling-Ellis is the reigning Strictly champion and James' co-star.

    The EastEnders star was the first deaf competitor on the dancing show, and she won over hearts when she took to the dancefloor with ease and grace.

    Now, her co-star James Bye, 38, famed for playing Martin Fowler, has joined this year's Strictly roster of celebs and he's admitted that Rose gave him advice.

    He said: "Rose is just like a ray of sunshine and her only advice to me was just take every second in as it goes so quick.

    "Bear in mind she was there every week, she did the full thing and she said even that went so fast."

    The 46-year-old appears to be going from strength to strength on this year's Strictly.

    Will Mellor came to fame in the 90s before meeting and marrying his actress and performing arts studio owner wife, Michelle McSween.

    Often seen supporting Will from the Strictly side-lines, Michelle shares two children with Will, Jayden and Renee.

    Talking about picking Renee up from school, Will said: "Jayden is really laid-back about it all, but Renee gets quite embarrassed!

    "I picked her up from school the other day and there was a group of kids waving at me frantically. She got in the car like, “Drive! Drive! Drive!”. [Laughs] She’s great at spotting when people are secretly filming and taking pictures though."

    The 27-year-old was put on the spot by Claudia Winkleman about her boyfriend's cooking skills.

    Ellie Simmonds, who has won five gold Paralympic medals and was the youngest person to be awarded an MBE at just 14-years-old, is one the celebrities taking part in Strictly this year.

    After her performance in Saturday, co-host Claudia Winkleman said: "We have to mention your partner Matt because he’s never cooked before and now you’re doing Strictly, I believe he’s making you packed lunches, he’s making supper at night."

    Ellie responded: "He’s making everything, so yeah, he’s an alright cook."

  • Fleur got psychic message from her father

    The singer burst into tears after performance with Vito.

    The pair danced the Viennese Waltz on Saturday and Fleur came under fire from Shirley Ballas who criticised her footwork.

    Speaking on her Hit Radio show, Fleur explained that her cousin had visited a psychic, who said her late father, Malcom, was wishing her luck from beyond the grave.

    Sharing the voice note, it said: "[Malcolm's] daughter is about to start something, she's about to start an adventure, as he's calling it. He says to tell her I'm so proud of her and give her all the luck in the world."

    Singer Fleur was in tears during last night’s show of Strictly Come Dancing, after dancing the Viennese Waltz with Vito.

    She appeared on Hits Radio this morning and explained why she was emotional last night.

    Fleur said: “All day I was trying to make sure I found the right emotion for this dance as I was really worried about going on there, being quite blank and empty and just doing the steps.

    “I really wanted to commit to it.

    “But just before we danced, I went to see my family who were sitting in the audience and my Uncle Sean lifted his arm to show me his wrist – and he was wearing my Dad’s bracelet.

    “He didn’t even say anything to me, just showed it to me and that set me off. It was just seconds before I performed and with everything else and just being nervous, I started crying, blubbering!”

    Daisy Lowe has announced that she is expecting a baby shortly after revealing she was engaged.

    The model shared an adorable photo on Instagram of her baby bump, she wrote: “I wanted to share some news with you- Jordan & I are having a baby.

    “We are absolutely bursting at the seams with happiness. I’m oscillating wildly between excitement & nervousness with a dash of morning sickness thrown in for good measure! Big love to all of you.”
