Strictly Come Dancing 2022 RECAP: Jayde Adams delivers hilarious comeback at trolls who tried to body shame her

STRICTLY Come Dancing's Jayde Adams delivered a hilarious response to vile trolls on social media.

Another troll criticised her for appearing on Channel 4's Snackmasters, to which she replied: "I’m also critically acclaimed, own my own property and always getting laid babe."

Speaking on her same-sex coupling, the food blogger said she is used to dancing with another female, adding: "If you're in the dance world, which I was as a child, the sort of all-girl and all-male partnerships is quite commonplace."

    The Loose Women panellist had previously made the Tena confession to her Instagram followers, where she admitted dance partner Kai had no clue what she was on about.

    Returning to the show on Tuesday, Kaye said: "It was such a long day I was so exhausted, and to have Craig say that it was underwhelming, I'd thrown myself up in the air I had my TENA Ladies on, what more do you want from me!?" The Daily Mail reported.

    The actor said he loves a "success" story, and has found encouragement in the 1976 film.

    He told The Sun: "I love the story of someone coming from nothing and making a success of life because that's sort of how I grew up."

    "I grew up with this dream in my mind, on an estate in a place where no one did this, and really believed in myself'.

    "I had support from the family but people would put me down… but saying you can't do something only makes me stronger."

    The Strictly Judge recently opened up about her "very difficult" menopause, as she takes part in a new campaign for women.

    She is fronting the new QVC for World Menopause Month campaign, and spoke openly about how hard the menopause was for her.

    "To be honest, I never thought about menopause. It just throws you out of sync. But it's not just a list of symptoms… I just didn't have any support," Shirley explained in a new clip the loneliness she felt.

    Shirley ,62, spoke of how she was surprised it was her son who noticed she was struggling, and encouraged her to talk to him about how she was feeling.

    By sharing her experience, Shirley hopes to help others who are also struggling with the menopause, and help them find ways to cope.

  • Anton Du Beke remembers being voted off Strictly as being 'the worst'

    The new judge discussed how it felt being a Strictly Come Dancing pro and being voted off the competition.

    He replaced Bruno Tonioli for this year's return of the show.

    Speaking at the Henley Literary Festival in Oxfordshire he said: "Not that there is anything wrong with it but getting voted off, I just hated it. 

    "It is the worst thing in the world. And it never got better as I got older."

  • Tyler West tries hard to recover after running the London Marathon

    The radio DJ ran the London Marathon on Sunday after competing on Strictly Come Dancing the night before.

    But he has to make a swift recovery before this Saturday night's show with partner Dianne Buswell.

    He told his Instagram following he sped up the recovery by doing cryotherapy treatment, where the body is exposed to very cold temperatures.

  • Fleur East's special connection to the Movie Week song choice

    The singer and partner Vito Coppola will dance the American Smooth to Part Of Your World from movie, The Little Mermaid.

    Fleur is so excited about the next live show of Strictly Come Dancing, as she dances to a song from one of her favourite movies.

    She was invited to Hits Radio to talk about the upcoming episode this weekend, Fleur said: "At the start of my Strictly journey I gave a whole list of songs to the team and just slipped in this one and mentioned that The Little Mermaid was my favourite movie.

    "I’m guessing they looked at that and here we are! I’m so excited. This is genuinely my favourite Disney movie of all time and I know this song inside out and back to front."

    Kevin Clifton and Stacey, who are expecting their first child, went to Churchill Theatre in Bromley for the Strictly Ballroom press night.

    The first time mum Stacey wore a gorgeous pink trouser and top two piece as she supported partner Kevin at the event.

    They announced the pregnancy on Stacey's Instagram back in August, where she wrote, "Gaaaaaaang.....We are having a baby!" 

    Stacey met Kevin on Strictly in 2018.

  • How dancer Gorka spends the weekend with his fiance and family

    Gorka Marquez, partnered with Helen Skelton, was disappointed as his weekend didn't quite go the way he had planned.

    After a long week of training with Helen, Gorka told his Instagram followers that he couldn't wait to have a relaxing weekend with his family.

    He said:  "Just came home from yesterday's Strictly and I was so excited to see Gemma and Mia. I thought we were going to chill on Sunday, watch a movie and she's [Gemma] like, 'Oo I've got plans for us!"

    So I was very excited for those plans and she told me we're going to... design a new kitchen." As Gorka turned the camera to Gemma she said: "We're going to pick a new kitchen, well, it's not going to choose itself, sweet cheeks."

  • James Bye advice for this year

    The EastEnders star revealed that he was given some important advice from co-star Rose Ayling-Ellis.

    James Bye, who plays Martin Fowler on EastEnders, said on the show: “Rose is just like a ray of sunshine and her only advice to me was just take every second in as it goes so quick.

    “Bear in mind she was there every week, she did the full thing and she said even that went so fast.

    “You make friends so quickly, don’t throw anything away, just enjoy every moment and that’s sort of what we’re doing to be fair.

    “I don’t feel like I’m wasting any moment, we are going for it, every opportunity, and the choreography this week is incredible and the song is great, so let’s just hope I don’t balls it up again!”

  • Fan reaction to movie week

    Fans seem unhappy with Hamza being given Jurassic Park.

    One fan said: "So many cha cha chas. Also a rumba to Juarassic park how will that work ? I think Hamza and Tony are in danger they are very difficult dances."

    Another added: "My Good Lord, what a bunch of odd choices! A Rumba to the Jurassic Park theme? Romancing the Dinosaurs now?"

    Strictly will return to our screens in just three days time.

    Opening the show, the professional dancers bring Casa Madrigal to the ballroom in an epic Encanto-inspired routine.

    Despite not being the best dancer on the show so far, Hamza is certainly getting a lot of support due to his "lovely" nature.

    One fan said: "Hamza is the loveliest and he needs to know!!!"

    A second added: "Hamza saying he’s too big for the jive bless him someone give him a hug he’s so much better than he thinks."

  • Anton Du Beke reveals what he 'hated' the most

    Anton is a much loved star of the show, however when he was a dancer on the show he "hated" one aspect of the series.

    He said: “Not that there is anything wrong with it but getting voted off, I just hated it. It is the worst thing in the world. And it never got better as I got older.

    “The bit I miss is not being in the studio and putting a number together, there is nothing like that. Though standing there and judging is equally as wonderful.

    “I did say it’s much easier on the knees but the fact that I am now judging also means I can now always stay until the final.”

    Strictly fans can tune in tonight for It Takes Two on ITV to have an exclusive first look at how some of the celebrities are coping with their new dances.

    Janette Manrara will guide fans through all the backstage ballroom action, with more couples stopping by for a chat.

  • Couple 'seemed very distant' after rehearsal

    An insider said:  “Gorka and Helen seemed very distant as they left rehearsals.

    “They walked on opposite sides of the road and didn’t acknowledge each other.

    “There were no smiles, no chatting, no waves, no hugs. They both looked utterly exhausted and tense."

    Another source added: “It’s complete nonsense to suggest any tension between Gorka and Helen, they are getting on brilliantly.”

    Helen was pictured looking exhausted after her rehearsal for week 3.

    Helen Skelton and Gorka Márquez will perform a Viennese Waltz to ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You’ from Grease this week.

  • Kaye Adams 'relieved'

    Strictly Come Dancing's Kaye Adams was reportedly "relieved" to be the first celeb dumped from the show this year, according to a body language expert.

    The Loose Women star went head to head with Matt Goss in the dance-off, with the judges ultimately deciding her time was up on Strictly.

    Now, body language expert, Darren Stanton has said she was "relieved" to exit the show.

    Speaking to Slingo, Darren said: "Kaye never truly let herself engage fully, as she is quite a guarded and private person. 

    "While Kai looked incredibly disappointed to be out of the competition in week one, Kaye showed a subtle sigh of relief."

  • Movie week is back

    The routines for this weeks show have been released, and it's the return of movie week!

    Ellie Simonds will be taking on the Quickstep to the song Peppy and George from The Artist.

    Helen Skelton will be performing the Viennese Waltz with the song Hopelessly Devoted To You from the hit movie Grease.

  • Anton reveals the one thing he misses most about being a dancer on Strictly

    Life as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing isn't half bad, but Anton misses his time as a dancer nonetheless.

    “The bit I miss is not being in the studio and putting a number together, there is nothing like that," he said.

    "Though standing there and judging is equally as wonderful."

  • Craig reveals why he was so nice on Strictly week one

    Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood has revealed why he gave lenient scores during the show's first episode, something that is very out of character for the iconic dance expert.

    He wrote in Best magazine: "You may have noticed in the first live show that I was very nice - by my standards.

    "I thought I'd go in light, give the poor celebs a bit of confidence (and a false sense of security!) - but as you see, I'm back to usual.

    "I was just in such a good mood, I was so excited to be back."

    Craig, who is usually known for his harsh ratings, has been blown away by Hamza on this year's series of Strictly.

    The Countryfile host has been so impressive, the long-time judge thinks he may have previous dance training.

    Craig told Best magazine: "Hamza is blowing me away. Either he's had dance experience or he's just ... a genius!

    "He's doing proper heel leads, and now he's shown he can do Latin, too. Some people do surprise you.

    "His dancing isn't flashy, it's just technically brilliant. Just WOW!"

  • James Bye shares advice from reigning champion

    Rose Ayling-Ellis is the reigning Strictly champion and James’ co-star.

    The EastEnders star was the first deaf competitor on the dancing show, and she won over hearts when she took to the dancefloor with ease and grace.

    Now, her co-star James Bye, 38, famed for playing Martin Fowler, has joined this year’s Strictly roster of celebs and he’s admitted that Rose gave him advice.
