A teenage girl was shot dead by a 9-year-old boy in a "fight over a Gatorade bottle," according to her family.
Nykayla Strawder, 15, was found dead of gunshot wounds on her porch by her family.
They said the nine-year-old "accidentally" shot a teenage boy in the head before dropping the gun and fleeing the scene.
Nykayla was taken to hospital, but she later died.
Police later discovered that the firearm was registered to the family of a boy who worked as a security guard.
Nykayla's loved ones held an all-night rally on Tuesday to pay tribute to her teenage girl and express her displeasure with the investigation into her death.
