Brazil must overcome South Korea in the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup if they are to progress to the quarter-finals for the eighth successive tournament.
The Selecao had already confirmed their place in the next round prior to their 1-0 defeat by Cameroon, following victories over European duo Switzerland and Serbia. Nonetheless, they still advanced as group winners to avoid facing Portugal in the last 16.
They will instead come up against South Korea, who progressed as Group H runners-up in dramatic fashion with a last-minute winner against Portugal to send them through ahead of Uruguay on goals scored after tying on goal difference.
When is Brazil vs South Korea?
Brazil vs South Korea will take place at 7pm (GMT) on Monday, December 5 at Stadium 974 in Doha, Qatar.
This will be the eighth meeting between the two sides and their first in World Cup competition, with the latest clash coming as recently as June, when Brazil emerged as 5-1 winners in an international friendly.
Taking place at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, Brazil took a seventh-minute lead through Richarlison, before Hwang Ui-jo equalised on the half-hour mark. However, two penalties from Neymar either side of half-time and goals from Philippe Coutinho and Gabriel Jesus wrapped up the victory for Brazil.

South Korea scraped into the quarter-finals by the skin of their teeth having scored more goals than Uruguay after the pair were tied on points and goal difference, but Paulo Bento is expected to name a side similar to the one which claimed that 2-1 victory over Portugal.
