Why Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 is the best smartwatch for you

Garmin

If you have Android , Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 buy is the best deal. Unlike the Apple Watch, which can only be paired with an Apple iPhone, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 smartwatch works with iOS and Android devices. (The app has compatibility requirements.)

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5

Samsung

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 is an upgrade from the popular Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. It features 10W smart charging, a notable upgrade from the slow 5. -Watt charging provided by previous models. It also offers advanced workout algorithms and sleep tracking technology.

Galaxy Watch 5 is equipped with an advanced bioactivity sensor that collects more accurate data. This data can be managed and tracked in the Samsung Health app.

This is the first time Samsung offers sapphire glass on a non-premium smartwatch option. (Sapphire glass isn't actually glass, it's ceramic that mimics the clarity of glass and offers more durability.)

Apple Watch 7 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Comparison: Which Should You Buy?

The Apple Watch 7 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 offer nearly identical features, so it can be difficult to decide which one to buy. Here are some key considerations to keep in mind when buying your next smartwatch.

Operating System and Phone Compatibility

For most shoppers, the choice is determined by which operating system they are most familiar with and which phone they are using. The iPhone user will enjoy how the Apple Watch 7 seamlessly syncs with his iPhone and his other Apple products. The Apple Watch 7 doesn't sync with Android phones, so it's not an ideal choice for Android users. This also affects app availability. The Apple Watch uses the Apple App Store, while the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 supports apps available in the Galaxy Store. (Most major apps are available on both platforms.)

Accessory Availability

Another consideration is accessories. With the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 just announced on his August 10th, there are fewer third-party accessories available right away. That should change soon as manufacturers catch up and start releasing new bands and accessories for the Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro.

Most older Apple Watch accessories are compatible with current Apple Watch models,a wide selection to choose from

Smartwatch durability

Both the Apple Watch 7 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 are made from strong materials designed for extreme durability. Both the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and 5 Pro include sapphire glass, a durable screen material. Apple Watch 7 features a shatter-resistant front crystal display. Both are durable and can be safely submerged in water.

Health Features

Both smartwatches are well-equipped to support your health and fitness journey. Both include sleep tracking, ECG, heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen monitoring and workout tracking. One notable difference is that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 includes skin temperature readings. The Apple Watch has yet to introduce this feature (although it is rumored to come with the Apple Watch 8).

If you're a runner or love working out outdoors, the Samsung Galaxy 5 Pro might be a better choice. Includes powerful workout GPS features like Workout Routing and Trackback to help you plan your runs and find your way back to where you started if you get a little lost .

Battery Life

This is one area where there are clear winners. According to Apple, the Apple Watch 7 should offer 18 hours of battery life with standard use. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, on the other hand, offers up to 50 hours of battery life. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Pro has a larger battery for longer battery life.

Of course, battery life depends on your usage habits, but if you want longer charging intervals, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 is a better choice.
