A fantasy baseball option to replace an injured, struggling star

Replacing a player such as the MVP Bryce Harper twice with a fantasy address is not an easy task.

It's not easy to find a suitable alternative for sick players such as Jazz Chisholm Jr., Ozzie Albies, Michael Brantley, Harrison Bader, Salvador Perez. There is none.

Nevertheless, it's something that the Hand Fantasy Manager has been dealing with lately. It may seem daunting, but there are plenty of viable options available to boost your team in at least one offensive category (owned by less than 50% of ESPN League). Other places.

There are several options.

Average

All NicoHoerners (owned by 17.8%) know how to be hit. The versatile turnip recorded a batting average of .310 on Friday. This includes 3 home runs, 16 RBIs, 18 runs and .322 OPS in 41 games since May 1st.

AP

Former Met Andres Jimenez (42.4% owned) .308 His first 63 games at the Guardians this season were 28-86 (.326), with 4 home runs, 13 RBIs, 11 runs, 2 stolen bases and .914 OPS in June.

Home runs

Diamondbacks Christian Walker tied for the eighth major home run (19) on Friday, but 50% of the home runs remained. rice field. His .200 batting average may have something to do with it — his 15.3 barrel percentage is elite, and his 10.3 percent barrel per plate appearance is 12th in the majors. Especially in the power sector, all his forecast stats are higher than the actual numbers, and his .269 batting average and .180 BABIP show that his average should go up. Can you imagine this power surge mixed with an average close to his carrier .241 mark?

Rangers' Nate Lowe (45.7% owned) is the best .278 in his career with 10 home runs and 32 RBIs in June, including .307 with 7 RBIs, 16 RBIs and .910 RBIs. I'm hitting. .. His maximum exit speed is ranked in the top 10% of the league, he has been consistent every season since he joined the league in 2019, and his strikeout rate is 24.5, a low career.

USA TODAY Sports

Run

Cesar Hernandez (11.6% owned) It's like Rodney Dangerfield. He is not respected. Not only did he play in 77 of the first 78 Nationals games, but he also took first or second place in 72 games and took the lead in the league at bat on Friday (343). More importantly, he hit .264 with 19 RBIs, 3 stolen bases and 41 runs (25th best mark in NL).

RBI

After hitting .172 with 12 strikeouts in the first 10 games, Twins' Alex Kirilloff (28.6% owned) became a triple A cent. It was sent. Paul scored .359 with 10 home runs, 32 RBIs, 33 runs and 1.106 OPS in 35 games. In the first 13 games since returning to his majors, he hit .296 with 12 RBIs and .790 OPS.

AP

Recorded only .248 in 39 games from May 1st On Thursday, Josh Naylor, who owns 42.7 percent, drove 34 runs in that span. It doesn't hurt that he was the Guardians' fifth batter and hit .277 with 4 home runs, 23 RBIs and .863 OPS from that slot.

Stolen Bases

Jon Berti (18 of his league's leading 22 stolen bases came in June) remains available on more than 60% of ESPN Leagues But Miguel Rojas considers another Merlin. He hits .243, but in 16 games until Friday he hit .333 with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs, 3 stolen bases and .825 OPS.

Despite having an unsustainable .402 RBI and hitting 9th place in the Braves order, Michael Harris II scored .347 with 4 RBIs, 16 RBIs and 18 RBIs. I had four stolen bases when I struck. Run on June 27th game and .946 OPS. His speed is legal as he stole 46 bases in 197 minor games.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa (11.9%) stole 11 bases for the Yankees this season, six of which came in June. He also recorded 36 runs and finished 31st in AL while hitting .260.

Javier Baez 2B / SS, Tigers
