According to a letter sent by FIFA this week and reviewed by the AP, the governing body , is seeking approval by the continental football bodies by Thursday.

Qatar should get a special Sunday slot for the opening ceremony and his World Cup debut at his 60,000-capacity part-time stadium.

The World Cup is now based on a decision in 2015 after FIFA agreed to postpone the tournament to avoid the extreme desert heat of his June and his July. , is scheduled to start on Monday, November 21st. FIFA also agreed on a shorter 28-day program to minimize disruption to domestic football, especially in Europe, which shuts down before the World Cup.

Recent World Cups By tradition, 2014 hosts Brazil and 2018 hosts Russia were given exclusive opening dates to face their first opponents. However, a tighter schedule in Qatar required him to play four games a day across the group stages, or 48 in 12 days.

The Netherlands, Senegal and Ecuador were in Group A to face Qatar in the draw for the tournament on April 1 in Doha. The Netherlands and Senegal were assigned 1:00 PM. At the start of local time, Qatar faced Ecuador in his third game, with evening kick-off scheduled to take place six hours later.

The proposal to create a 29-day tournament instead of a 28-day Qatari officials and South American football group CONMEBOL are in talks involving Qatari and Ecuadorian football federations, the person told The Associated Press.

FIFA said in a letter: He acknowledged that changing the dates after tickets were on sale affected some travel fans. However, FIFA said commercially that "the value and benefits of the proposal well outweigh the risks".

Only a few players from European clubs are involved in the Qatar vs. Ecuador match. Several of Ecuador's likely rosters have played for clubs in Spain, the United States and Mexico.

Had Qatar been due to face the Netherlands, whose main squad will play for clubs in England and Italy, until 13 November, it would have been more difficult to agree to a schedule change.

With this proposal, FIFA is expected to move the Netherlands-Senegal match back from a lunchtime start to an evening slot freed up by Qatar.
