Harriet Hedgeman sees her landslide victory over Liz Cheney in Wyoming as a national beacon: 'We're fed up'

Harriet Hedgeman, Republican candidate for Wyoming's only seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, said hermajor victory over Rep. Liz Cheneywould serve as a beacon for the rest of the election. I predicted Wednesday. A country she described as "fed up" with Washington, D.C. and its "corruption."

In an interview with Fox News Digital after winning the primary, Hageman said her victory was down to Wyoming voters' rejection of Cheney as a representative and her treatment of Democrats. "People in Washington, D.C., are not serious, and President Trump is making every day an important home-table issue for American citizens. 

"The last thing people in Washington D.C. want is accountability and success," she added. "We want serious leaders who put nonsense aside and focus on the issues that matter."

Hageman said one of her main focuses as an MP was to 84} said the legislation addresses the need for increased domestic energy production,which is believed to be due to record gasoline prices that have plagued Americans in recent weeks.

"None of this is rocket science. I think any normal person on the streets of Wyoming could figure this out in less than 10 minutes. This is complicated. It doesn't matter," she said.

Hageman predictsthat the November midterm elections will be a "great" success for the Republican Party, and Wyoming will speak for the entire nation by rejecting Cheney.
