The court granted a request for a restraint order filed by the American Civil Liberties Union, its Kentucky branch, and the planned Great Northwest of Custody. Plaintiffs allege that the two state laws violate the right to "privacy, physical autonomy, and self-determination" in the Kentucky Constitution.
"We are pleased that the court has acknowledged the devastation in Kentucky and decided to stop the federal ban on abortion," the group seeking detention orders said in a statement. ..
