Libra season 2022: Hot fashion, finance and fitness trends to thrive

The scale don’t lie.

Welcome to Libra Season, the time of the year where we transition into autumn. As we begin a new season, we begin to turn our focus away from ourselves and more on connecting with others.

The mighty Sun will dance in the skies of Libra from September 22 until October 23. Libra is symbolized by the Scales and embodies our desire to be in significant partnerships. This Air sign focuses us on creating long-term commitments.

Libra is the seventh zodiac sign on the wheel, known as a Cardinal sign. This helps us to take the lead in regards to connecting, uniting and negotiating with others. Ruled by Venus, the planet of romance, Libras embrace art, intimacy and pleasure.

Take a deep dive into global trends and predictions for what’s hot—and what’s not in Fashion, Music, Fitness, Hair, & Finance (Cryptocurrency & NFTs!), Beauty, Culture, Travel, Social Impact and Film for Libra Season 2022! Do not miss it!

What’s In for Women’s & Men’s Fashion: As we say farewell to summer and embrace the beauty of the autumn harvest, we welcome Libra Season!  Libra is ruled by Venus, the planet of art and beauty. Art and beauty collided on the Red Carpet from some of the most glamorous evenings of the summer from the 74th Emmy Awards in Los Angeles and the Venice Film Festival. The red carpets were illuminated with Hollywood’s brightest stars bringing the beauty of fashion’s ready-to-wear and couture runways to life.  Scroll through for some of Libra Season’s most stunning looks!

Music

Follow celebrity music producer, Craig J Snider.

What’s In: Our Libra season pick is the Weeknd’s “Die For You.” Libra season is all about partnership, marriage, union and commitment.  Making promises and keeping them. The Weeknds future soul tinged song makes his case: “Even though we’re going through it, and it makes you feel alone, I would die for you.” No matter what, the Weeknd’s all in. “You won’t find no one that’s better.” I predict more than a few “baby makers” will be jamming to this new soul hit 100%!

Fitness

Follow celebrity fitness trainer, Don Saladino.

What’s In: Here’s your Libra season fitness tip from Don Saladino (who has previously spoken with the New York Post in regards to being a superhero trainer for mega stars such as Hugh Jackman and Blake Lively): Try the Tension Technique. This is a technique that will focus in your plank so you can get more bang for your buck in your core workout! Special Discount Code for New York Post Readers: NYPost for 25% off all his programs here. Enjoy!

Women’s Hair Trends

Follow celebrity hairstylist, Brandon Liberati.

What’s In: Libra is the sign of equilibrium. Yin and yang, a harmonizing balance. This makes white and black “Skunk” hair the perfect trend for the zodiac sign that isn’t afraid to try something new. Not surprising that this hairstyle gained popularity by a famous Libran: the pop-punk princess herself Avril Lavigne. If the commitment of adding black to your platinum locks tips your scales, no worries, just add black extensions!

Beauty & Make-Up

What’s In: Welcome to Libra season! This Air sign is ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty. One of Libra’s corresponding hues is the color pink. Bask in Libra’s energy by dosing your eyes in whimsical shades of pink, rosy blush tones, and topping it off with a classic dusty rose lip gloss.

What’s In: Libra season has floated on in and brings nothing short of beauty. Just like the financial markets eb and flow, Libra season ushers in balance and harmony.

This month has had some major news, with the biggest one being the Ethereum merge. Ethereum has finally after many years of promises officially switched to a Proof of Stake system.  For ages people have doubted that Ethereum would actually be able to pull it off, and it’s almost ironic that it successfully launched in a season of promises kept! Ethereum is now more balanced than ever, and will be environmentally friendly helping to unionize crypto and the planet.

Special Tip:  Sometimes it’s easy to judge a project by the lack of deliverance with their word.  This can be a great way to weed out the fakes or fluff within the crypto market. However, sometimes it’s important to remember how new crypto really is, and where we are in the grand scheme of things. There is so much room for growth and trial and error. It’s always good to look at where a project may be currently, but to remember where it started and where it could go with time and the right commitments.

What’s In: Loving Libras, it’s your time to shoot your cupid’s bow all over the zodiac! No, I’m not talking about that ole Saint Valentine.  Venus, the planet of love and relationships, rules this Air sign so I’m encouraging everyone to give love a second chance this year. And not a day too soon because a leaf fell from a tree onto my shoulder AS I TYPED THIS and a crisp breeze whispered “Cuffing Season” in my ear with pumpkin spice breath! Libras are charming, charismatic and easy to get along with by nature. Allow that energy to rub off on you this season. Do more than lock eyes with the no foam cold brew cutie at the coffee shop.

Connect with the sexy Star Wars guru at that trivia night you keep getting invited to by your coworker. If the daily swipe is more your speed, do more than simply swiping right and waiting on the next notification.  Initiate that conversation! Charm your way into the DMs of someone completely out of your comfort zone.  Don’t play it safe, shoot your shot! Now Libra energy also tends to lean towards logic over pure feels but on the flip side they do hold the scales. So trust that your head and heart are balanced. In non-vibey terms: trust your intuition!

Travel

Follow travel expert Brad Pinzer.

What’s In: Libra season is here and that means summer is quickly coming to an end, but personally this is by far one of my favorite times to travel. You really can’t go wrong going pretty much anywhere in Europe right now with flights being reasonably priced compared to domestic flights and the Euro on par with the dollar, but I think the best destination to celebrate Libra season this year is Paris.  Libra season is about partnership, union and commitment, so this is a trip that would be perfect to enjoy with a significant other or a best friend and Paris is the perfect location.

While Paris is certainly a year round tourist destination, there are a few times of year that the crowds aren’t quite as overwhelming and tickets are a little easier to come by for some of the most in demand attractions. Libra season just happens to fall into one of those times from late September until early October and with the weather being very comfortable with minimal rain it is the perfect time to get out and explore the city on foot or on a bike. Another perfect activity this time of year is a river boat cruise down the river Seine and with the crowds smaller this time of year it is sure to be an amazing trip.

During the day you can also visit the Louvre, one of the most famous museums in the world, visit the Eiffel tower, pop into a corner bistro and enjoy a special bottle of your favorite French wine. With Libra being ruled by Venus, the planet of art and beauty, what could be a better fit than the glamour, art and beauty of Paris? Not to mention, Paris Fashion Week falls on Sept 26th – October 4th this year and is the ultimate celeb spotting event in Paris. Name your favorite Libra and chances are they will be there! Paris is always a great destination, but there has never been a better time to visit. Enjoy Libra, this is your time.

What’s In: Since Libra is ruled by Venus, the planet of art and beauty, it is an optimal timeframe to evaluate what drives you aesthetically. This could be anything from experimenting with a new, exciting outfit to adding artwork to your personal space to visiting that stunning location you’ve been meaning to check out. Prioritize the “wow” factor and watch your self-confidence, creativity and self-introspection grow. Libra season also focuses on connection so don’t forget to take a friend or lover along on the scenic route as possibilities of magic are especially heightened!

Beauty is all the rage the next few weeks: What a perfect time to spotlight charitable powerhouses: The Mannequins! This group of philanthropic, fashion-oriented women volunteer their time to produce runway shows to support the Bright Future Scholarship program. All recipients are graduating high school seniors in foster care or experiencing homelessness. Despite barriers, these teens have a strong record of academic achievement, character and commitment to community.  The Mannequins are an auxiliary of The Assistance League of Los Angeles, a 101-year-old nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of youth. What’s In: Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf (1966) In 1966, a young talent exploded onto the scene with his film adaptation of Edward Albee’s, “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” (1966), starring Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. I’m referring to the great director, Mike Nichols, who would go on to make “the Graduate” (1968), “Silkwood” (1983), “Working Girl” (1988), “The Birdcage” (1996), “Closer” (2004), and “Charlie Wilson’s War” (2007) among others. “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” is perhaps the most disturbing, compelling, outrageous and unique depiction of a marriage in all of cinema. Mirroring the tumultuous real life relationship between Burton and Taylor, the two are at their peak. This is not a film for everyone, but those who can handle the brilliance and the madness, will be rewarded.
