Sagittarius season 2022: Hot fashion, finance and fitness trends to thrive!

Welcome to Sagittarius Season, the time of the year where we turn a corner to prepare for the arrival of winter.

We can feel the festive energy of the holiday season starting to take hold as the temperatures drop to frigid levels and the nights grow longer. The radiant sun will become ignited in Sagittarius from November 22 to December 21.

Sagittarius is symbolized by the centaur and embodies our desire expansion, adventure and wisdom. This Fire sign encourages us to step out of our comfort zones and embrace new horizons, whether that is academically, intellectually, spirituality or even through long-distance travel. Sagittarius is the ninth zodiac sign on the wheel, known as a Mutable sign. Because of its polarity with Gemini, it also holds ties to education, communication, media and international relations.

Ruled by Jupiter, Sagittarius’s energy is one of enlightenment and curiosity, as well as luck. Take a deep dive into global trends and predictions for what’s hot—and what’s not in Fashion, Music, Fitness, Hair, & Finance (Cryptocurrency & NFTs!), Beauty, Culture, Travel, Social Impact and Film for Sagittarius Season 2022! Do not miss it! !

The 90’s Pigtails are back and like Sagittarians, they are sporty, adventurous and stylish.  One of my favorite centaurs is my business partner aka my “hair wife” Vicki Casciola, pictured above. WHAT’S IN: The adventurous Sagittarius season is upon us, and boy, are we in for a ride within crypto right now! The industry continues to be under fire and unfortunately it seems we may not be through the thick of it just yet.

This month the news that shook the industry comes in the form of Sam Bankman Fried’s two companies—FTX and his sister fund, Alameda. It came to be known that FTX had a back door built into the exchange that allowed Sam to transfer 10 billion dollars of users’ funds to Alameda for investing. Once this info was leaked, a traditional bank run occurred on the platform and all trading was halted.

In the end, crypto is going through a major season of growth this year and continues to do so. Right now, optimism and remembering why this space exists in the first place is key. Let’s channel the Sagittarius in all of us and have faith in the growth of this industry.

Pro Tip: It’s very easy to discount an industry or criticize it when it’s still in its infancy. I challenge readers to remember that the same thing happened to the Internet—and look where we are today! As CZ the CEO of Binance said: “The crypto industry is just getting cleaner—which is painful right now but worth it in the long run”.

WHAT’S IN: Tis the Sagittarius Season y’all! The leaves are falling and the PSLs are flowing during optimistic Sag and with only a month left in the year, we’re all reflecting on our past and how that projects itself onto our future.  The Sagittarius secret is keeping a peaceful spirit throughout this process. For the bulk of us, our immediate future is filled with a multitude of holiday potlucks with our coworkers. As the playful Centaur is busy sharpening his archery skills right now, Sagittarius’ energy is encouraging us all to challenge ourselves to learn (and teach) new skills.  I’ll take on the role as teacher this go-round while you use this Fire sign’s energy to make it hot in the kitchen with these three easy yet absolutely delicious finger food recipes that will surely set everyone’s taste buds ablaze.

Blue Cheese Stuffed Chicken Wings

  • 10-12 Chicken Winglets
  • ¼ c Blue Cheese Crumbles
  • ¼ c Whipped Cream Cheese
  • ½ c Spinach (Chiffonade)
  • Paprika
  • Kosher Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Your choice of hot sauce + 1T butter

Instructions:

  • Use kitchen shears to remove the bones from the winglets.
  • Season winglets with paprika, salt and pepper.
  • Mix blue cheese, cream cheese and spinach.
  • Stuff winglets with blue cheese mixture and close each end with a toothpick.
  • Warm up a skillet over medium heat with olive oil.
  • Sauté each winglet, skin side down first.  Approx. 5 minutes on each side, until brown and inside no longer runs red.
  • Remove from skillet.
  • In a separate saucepan, warm butter and hot sauce until incorporated.
  • Toss winglets in sauce.

This is a fun, more refined take on hot wings.  No bones getting in the way, yet still incredibly juicy.  Plus they’re bite-sized so no mess!  Getting the bones out is the challenge but it’s absolutely worth it.

Mini Twice Baked Potatoes

  • 10-12 red roaster potatoes
  • ½ c Sour cream
  • 2 T Butter (melted)
  • Olive Oil (as needed)
  • Chives (diced, as needed)
  • Bacon (as needed)
  • S&P

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cut off the tops and bottoms off the potatoes so that they will be able to stand up without rolling over.
  • Rub with olive oil and Kosher Salt.
  • Lay each potato flat and bake for 20 mins or until a fork can easily pierce through.
  • Let cool to touch, then use a melon baller to scoop out the inside of each potato into a bowl.  Be careful not to puncture the skin or the bottom of the potatoes.
  • Mix sour cream (reserving a bit for garnish), butter, kosher salt and pepper into the bowl of potatoes.
  • Scoop the potato mixture to fill each potato.
  • Place back in the oven for another 10 minutes.
  • Scoop a dollop of sour cream onto the top of each potato, garnishing with chives and bacon bits.

Monkey Bread

  • 1 Package of Refrigerated Biscuits
  • 1 c Brown sugar
  • 2 T cinnamon
  • 1 c Butter (melted)

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to temperature designated on the packaging.
  • Cut each biscuit into six bite-sized pieces.
  • Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and butter.
  • Coat each piece of biscuit thoroughly in the brown sugar mixture, then place in oven-safe dish.
  • Pour excess brown sugar mixture on top of the biscuits.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until slightly brown on top.

Once this has cooled a bit, you can pick each bit out with the gooey brown sugar coating.  Enhance this dish by making it a la mode!

WHAT’S IN: It isn’t a secret that Sagittarians are always seeking new adventures, as well as on the quest for knowledge and expanding their minds. This Sagittarius season, I cannot think of a destination more appropriate to meet the demanding needs of this zodiac sign than Istanbul, Turkey. Istanbul is the perfect starting point for all the global adventures one may seek.

Istanbul is a truly global city that can be visited on any budget. One great thing about Istanbul is that it has a mix of things to see and do for all travelers. Splurge and stay at The Four Seasons Istanbul at the Bosphorus and use it as the starting point for all of your journeys. While in Istanbul, check out the Hagia Sophia, roam the old city streets and bask in all that Turkey has to offer. Another must while in Istanbul is a visit to a traditional Turkish Bath House. One of the top rated Hamams is Sultan Süleyman Hamam, a traditional bath house that was built over 475 years ago.

Istanbul is the perfect mix of adventure and luxury and with fewer crowds than during peak season, it is the perfect time to visit.

WHAT’S IN: Optimism, expansion and personal growth take precedent as Jupiter is in ruling. Think of a personal goal you would like to achieve, meditate on it and write it down. Tell a friend or family member so they can hold you accountable. Take action now to make the most of what Sag season has to offer. Persistence and consistency will pay off tenfold, and your future self will thank you.

“Only by giving are you able to receive more than you already have.”

While you are furthering your aspirations, consider the dreams of the more than 400,000 children in foster care in the United States. Consider making a donation or volunteering at nonprofit The Assistance League of Los Angeles, an organization that is more than 100 years old and has positively impacted a million plus underserved children since its inception through musical theatre, education, services, supplies and scholarships.

The League’s Theatre For Children program hosts more than 12,000 local children every year. Many of these children are low-income and special needs students who might not be otherwise exposed to the magic of live theatre. The program helps provide field trips for these students to see full live stage shows for free or at very low cost.

WHAT’S IN: “Fire of Love” (2022)

It’s not often that I get really excited about a new movie. “Fire of Love” is a 2022 release that’s available currently to stream on Disney+. It pulls you in from the first moments and is immediately mesmerizing. The documentary follows Katia and Maurice Krafft, two volcanologists, who were married to each other. It includes breathtaking images and archival footage of the two on their passionate journey through volcanos and their relationship. It features a haunting and somber narration by Miranda July and is one of the best movies of the year.
