"Southern Charm" star Leva Bonaparte reveals a fallout from last season's messy reunion, previews a season 8 drama, and cooks a bit about "Leverland."

Southern CharmAfter making fans wait for an incredibly long period of 16 months, they will finally return to air on Bravo tonight. .. Chalmers last appeared on the screen in February 2021 when Bravo aired the show's wild and woolly two-part Season 7 reunion. The rally seems to have left behind the cast's famous southern manners and politeness. I'm late for CHS.

One of those who escaped the reunion without taking an extreme amount of emotional debris was the elastic liver bonaparte. Very graceful and classy restaurant owners are an important addition to theSouthern CharmsSeason 7 crew and some of the big ones that swept the country during the tense summer of 2020. It helped patiently clarify the importance of large-scale cultural issues. All the while, do so without looking down or preaching. After returning to Season 8 tonight to deal with last season's on-screen and off-screen turbulence, Leva recently jumped into the Zoom with Decider to explain her personal approach to filming this season (" I just want to have fun "), the role she sees as helping her in the show, and her nextSoCharmspin-off series,Leva Land

Fair Warning: There are some very mild spoilers ahead (no plot details, only emotional ones).

Decided: Tonight I'm looking forward to seeing Season 8 of theSouthern Charm, but first we'll talk about INSANESeason 7. reunionSo I'm watching all the reunion shows on Bravo. It's not like a weekly or weekly show, but I'm confident that it's one of the crazy top three. Reunion so far. Can you tell us a bit about the blowback that happened both immediately after the shot and when the fans saw it?

LEVA BONAPARTE: Yeah, it was a kind of whirlwind. Compared to this year, I think the secret was kept last season. For example, after things were said, people didn't deal with them, or people wanted to protect them. In contrast to something like this year, there are no banned holds. This year theSouthern Charmhas become a little wild. So at the reunion, it just seemed like everything we didn't say was just crushed ... and maybe Craig had a little too much rosé or something.

Craig definitely looked like he was overkill.

Yeah, that's because he came into my changing room and he was like flipping his hair over, like having a rosé. , I was laughing. And I thought, "Oh, you're like having a good old time." He said, "Lever will be fine. It's okay." "No, I don't know how well it will work." So he came to be ready to enjoy, and then I think it's just ...

Some cruel feelings remained from what came out that day.

Yes, there was. It put a strain on my relationship with Madison. Because she might have expected me to dive a little further. I didn't intervene because I wasn't sure if that was true. As you know, some of it wasn't necessarily a lie, but it was also like "Craig, Relax". That day put a strain on many, and of course Austin and Madison broke up. But I and Catherine were a kind of opposition because we made a kind of atonement. After the reunion, we went to dinner to talk about our feelings, how we could solve our feelings, and to come to a better place.

After experiencing everything I experienced in the first season, there were many confusing times at the show and nationally, but how in the second season Did you get closer? Have you ever wanted to consciously adjust or focus after having the opportunity to watch yourself on TV?

I thought so, but I don't think so. I'm not very good at editing myself. I'm definitely good at looking like a hostess. Because that's what I'm doing. But when we're shooting, I'm really bad at editing myself.

I was very tired and stressed last season, so one of the things I did this season was "I just want to have fun. I don't want to fight anyone. It's worth it. I don't think so. "So that was what I brought to both my life and the show. But as you know, it doesn't always work that way. I have a temperament. i know that. I look great. I know that too. I have a flaw. Probably very flawed. But yeah, those are things I'm struggling with. But I am aware of it and can work on it.

My dad always tells me, "You advise your death." You always know as much as you want to advise everyone and everything, but then they get angry with you. Instead, I came as if I had passed the COVID. I am very happy that my business has survived. It seems that I also came and survived. I was very grateful and I wanted everyone to get along without doing the little things. And I think the rest of the cast wanted it too, but we all had a lot of personal changes. It looks like you're in puberty (laughs).

Bravo

There's a lot, but the good news is certainly a great season for television.

I think you love, love, and love it.

Earlier this season, Naomie tells you, "Don't do the weird mom you're doing." Have you ever felt like a mom in a group? Of course, you are all friends. But as you know, you are a little more advanced in your life. You have a wonderful family. You have a lot of successful businesses. Have you ever felt that way in this group?

Oh, completely. So there's no such thing as a life stage I'm in, but yeah, I'm completely mama. I literally saw it when Craig and Naomie met, so I'm always doing mommy with Craig and Naomie. It's like I'm this older, protective sister or aunt. And yeah, I always make them moms.

But to summarize it as something in life and something that struggles, I may not have bandwidth, as "this shit is not a problem". It probably makes me a little impatient with them. Yeah, I make it my mom. Let's get along. And Naomi knows I will. Probably love me for that.

That's one of the roles that Cameran (Ubanks) played. Do you feel any pressure as such a mom who must help maintain control and maintain peace?

No. There is no pressure. I think it will come naturally thanks to my work. As you know, I already have children I work with. This is not a problem. Can you get along with the shift? But I think I can sometimes get over it a little. Because I just want to fix it. And it's just like letting them fight Sometimes you have to fight it. Similarly, sometimes you need to understand it. So I don't think I feel any pressure. I think I'm overdoing it and feeling the pressure. And I said, "Just relax. Be friends. Noisy. Be friends. Do a lot." So my internal soliloquy is that you don't have to take this. Thing.

I fully understand it. I can't wait to see everything unfold this season, but I'm disappointed if I don't hear a bit about your new showLevaLandEveryone has a Charleston version ofVanderpump RulesBut what can you tell your fans about this show?

You can see the other side of Charleston that you have never seen. It's very coastal and very nightlife. Southern charmdoesn't give you much. The cast of my show is much younger, , like kids in their early twenties. There are a few elements of Vanderpump, but this show isn't just for waiters and waitresses. All of this cast has a deep friendship from college and they have worked for me for years. You can't make this shit.

I sit there and shake my head like "what", but they are all very good kids. They are young and make the mistakes we all made. And I really love them. I call them my children. So I'm really looking forward to seeing it. This is because we pay a little respect to shows likeLaguna BeachandVander Pump. The Bravo audience has never seen it before.

Southern CharmSeason 8 will premiere at Bravo on June 22nd, 9 / 8c.
