After a veterinarian revealed his top 5 favorite and least favorite dog breeds based on personality, health problems, and behavior , caused controversy online.
Whitney Terrell, who has more than 74,000 followers on TikTok, explained why she's a fan of each dog in two separate videos of her that in total have over 9 million views. I explained why it wasn't.
At the top of her list of least-liked dog breeds are "mellow" dogs. Goldendoodles in particular are well-groomed, require expensive grooming, and are prone to ear infections.

But the German Shepherd ( GSD) owners protested why the breed shouldn't be on the list, and it wasn't just 'doodle' enthusiasts who were outraged.
"Pretty shocked she had this on her list. I grew up [on GSD]. Very loyal and protective," read one comment.
"I now have 3 of her GSD's and a few years ago she had 1 Belgian hers Malinois, but once she wanted to bite someone... There weren't any," said another.
I wasn't chanting. In an industry that agrees with Dr. Terrell's line-up.
"As a former veterinary technician, he agrees 100% with all this," said one commenter.
"I've been his groomer for 30 years, but the graffiti makes me question my entire career path," another post said.
"Thanks for your entire list. I'm reproducing mine as a dog trainer," said a third of him.
Dr. Terrell lists dogs he doesn't own, but makes a list of his favorite dog breeds and puts his own at number one.
The Basset Hound, or generally any type of hound, suffers from several health problems. It took the top spot despite the issues.
"They smell, have very loud meows, and can have ear, back, and weight problems," he said Dr. Terrell.
"When I go to the vet, it can be a little jerky, but I love it. It's so sweet. My dog is the best dog I've ever had. He's with me every day."
