Who Plays Tully’s New Agent Justine Jordan? Why ‘Firefly Lane’s Jolene Purdy Looks So Familiar

Warning: Spoilers for Firefly Lane Season 2 ahead.

Netflix‘s heartwarming and heart-wrenching drama Firefly Lane is back with Part 1 of its second and final season. And in addition to reuniting with beloved returning cast members — including Katherine Heigl, Sarah Chalke, Ali Skovbye, Roan Curtis, and Ben Lawson — fans will get to meet some fresh faces this season, including Jolene Purdy.

Purdy plays Justine Jordan, a new agent who comes into Tully’s life at the perfect time. If you’ve seen any of Season 2’s first nine episodes, you know that Tully’s life has spiraled into pure and utter chaos. But, have no fear! Or, have less fear, I guess. Why? Because Justine is here to help her pick up the professional pieces.

So who is Justine Jordan on Firefly Lane? What do we know about Jolene Purdy, the actor who plays Tully’s new agent? And why does she look so familiar? Here’s everything you need to know about Purdy’s Firefly Lane Season 2 character and where you’ve seen her onscreen before.

Who Is Justine Jordan on Firefly Lane?

Early on in Season 2, Episode 1, Tully gets served while stocking up on ice cream in the freezer aisle. After leaving The Girlfriend Hour behind, she’s being sued for a whopping $10 million, which she admits will send her into a financial pickle.

While she’s comforting Kate and trying to make sure Johnny’s OK after his explosion in Iran, Tully gets a phone call from an energetic, ambitious woman named Justine Jordan who wants to be her new agent. She throws some ideas Tully’s way, but Tully doesn’t know who she can trust in the moment. But Purdy’s charm, which beams through Justine’s scenes, is so delightful you can’t help but want her around.

Tully hires Justine and she hits the ground running, while she works on getting the lawsuit dismissed, she also tries to find work for Tully that doesn’t violate the terms of the ridiculous non-compete agreement she signed, which keeps her off broadcast TV for a year. She throws out some wacky ideas at first, including a hosting gig of a reality dating show called I’d Hit That, but finally she finds the solution: The Internet.

Justine encourages Tully to build her website and suggests she start blogging and vlogging. Tully thinks the idea is ridiculous, but Justine claims that the internet is “the future of media and entertainment,” and boy was she right. Tully finally agrees to give the website a try after learning that even her mom posts astrology vlogs online, and the new business venture winds up attracting a massive following while helping her process her emotions. Thanks, Justine!

Despite not wanting to be Tully’s friend outside of the Tully Hart Media Empire (aka Tully’s new apartment), Justine is a positive, warm addition to the Firefly Lane crew, and has Tully’s back when it counts. When Tully wants to build a case against Wilson King — the old boss who tried sleeping with her earlier in her career — and find other women who are willing to speak out, Justine offers her support. When Tully turns down a job offer from King, Justine is there to back her up. And after the accident that derailed Justine’s career and friendship with Kate, Justine immediately snaps into damage control mode.

Seems like we all need a Justine in our lives. But she has to be as sweet, funny, and badass as Jolene Purdy.

Who Plays Tully’s Agent Justine Jordan on Firefly Lane? Meet Jolene Purdy

As noted earlier, Tully’s agent Justine Jordan is played by Jolene Purdy, a 38-year-old actor from California. Per her IMDb page, Purdy kicked off her on-screen career in 2001 as Cherita Chen in Donnie Darko, and she’s appeared in a number of popular TV shows and films over the years, including 10 Things I Hate About You, Breaking Bad, Glee, Superstore, The Resident, and more. Purdy is best known for her roles on Orange Is the New Black, WandaVision, and The White Lotus. (Yes! She played Lani in Season 1!)

If you want to stay up-to-date with Purdy offscreen, you can follow her on Twitter and Instagram. There’s a chance we could see Justin return in Season 2, Part 2 of Firefly Lane, but for now, you can keep an eye out for her in the following episodes:
