On Tuesday 4 October Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie shared new details of the now-famous 14 September 2016 plane flight that led to the dissolution of her marriage to actor Brad Pitt, describing alleged abusive behaviour towards her and the children — Page Six reports.
The former couple split in 2016 “for the well-being of the family”, according to Angelina in an exclusive interview with Vogue in 2020.
Together they have Maddox (20), Pax (18), Zahara (17), Shiloh (15), and 13-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

ANGELINA JOLIE ACCUSES BRAD PITT OF ABUSE
Responding to Brad Pitt’s lawsuit over the French wine company, Château Miraval, they previously co-owned together, the Tomb Raider actress filed a lawsuit revealing that Brad Pitt allegedly “choked one of the children and struck another in the face” and “grabbed” the actress by the head and shook her.
“At one point, he poured beer on Jolie; at another, he poured beer and red wine on the children,” the documents also claim.

In addition, the documents claim that over the course of “many tense hours” on the flight, the 58-year-old Fight Club star “periodically emerged from the back of the plane to yell and swear at them”.
Trying to intervene, the 47-year-old actress “grabbed” her estranged husband from behind to try to stop him, per the countersuit.

“To get Jolie off his back, Pitt threw himself backwards into the airplane’s seats, injuring Jolie’s back and elbow.
“The children rushed in and all bravely tried to protect each other. Before it was over, Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face. Some of the children pleaded with Pitt to stop. They were all frightened. Many were crying,” the documents allege.

ACTOR DENIES CLAIMS
According to BBC, a source close to Brad Pitt said that Jolie’s claims were false.
“She continues to rehash, revise and reimagine her description of an event that happened six years ago by adding completely untrue information each time she fails to get what she wants,” said the source.
“Her story is constantly evolving.”
