Kaizer Chiefs look set to lose another defender for the 2022/23 campaign!
The Glamour Boys are considering sending Thabani Austin Dube out on loan according to reports.
The defender joined the club from Richards Bay at the beginning of last season however he’s failed to leave his mark at Naturena.
Dube made a total of 16 appearances however reports suggest Arthur Zwane is looking to offload him for the season.
Kaizer Chiefs defender heading for exit door?
Richards Bay have opened talks with the Amakhosi over a loan deal involving their former player!
“Richards Bay have enquired about the services of a defender who is seemingly not part of Zwane’s plans.” a SoccerLaduma report read regarding Kaizer Chiefs defender Dube.
“And as reported by the Siya crew, Amakhosi are looking to sign Edmilson Dove, a left-footed centre-back, as Dube is the only natural candidate for that role.
“But with Zwane considering Sifiso Hlanti as an option for that role and Kaizer Chiefs set to sign Dove. the future looks bleak for Dube.
“In order to get game-time, Chiefs might consider sending Dube on loan with his former club Richards Bay showing interest.”

The Mozambique born 28-year-old joined the Amakhosi on a two year contract with the option to extend.

Kaizer Chiefs have already welcomed the arrival of eight other players to their first team.
While majority of Arthur Zwane’s new signings were attacking minded players, Zitha Kwinika (and to an an extent Dillon Solomons) is the only other defensive new arrival.
According to popular soccer value site Transfermarkt, Edmilson Dove is valued at approximately R6 million!

Amakhosi welcome new signing!
The Glamour Boys took to social media to welcome Edmilson Dove to the club on Thursday afternoon.
“Amakhosi have added Edmilson Gabriel Dove to their squad list for the 2022-23 season on a two-year deal with a further one-year option,” Kaizer Chiefs confirmed on their social media.
“The talented left-footer who is able to play at wing-back and centre-back has been training with Amakhosi and will be eligible to play once his paperwork has been finalised.”
The Glamour Boys next square off with arch rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in this weekend’s blockbuster DStv Premiership clash.
The blockbuster clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs takes place on Saturday, 13 August 2022.
