A week after being spotted smooching singer Dua Lipa, Trevor Noah is playing coy on the status of his relationship.
The Daily Show host was grilled on viral pics of him on a date with the British hitmaker in the latest episode of the show.
Last week – just one day after his date with Dua – Trevor Noah announced his resignation from the show after being at the helm for seven years.

ONE KISS IS ALL IT TAKES?
In an Between the Scenes video shared on the talk show’s social media, Trevor Noah was seen being grilled by The Daily Show correspondent Roy Wood Jr.
The fellow comedian jokingly chastised Trevor for dropping a bombshell on the audience – and using his name to do so.
Roy hilariously quipped: “Why you bring my name into it when you quit … now everybody on my Twitter yelling at me thinking it’s my fault that you decided to leave the show”
Roy then added that if anyone should be blamed, it should be “Dua Lupita”, whom Trevor was seen kissing just one day before his farewell announcement.
“You were out there in the street with that singing dove”, he said.
A clearly embarrassed Trevor Noah was then seen fumbling for words, adding: “That’s not how it happened. Do not believe anything you read in the tabloids. Don’t believe it”.
It’s not the first time Trevor Noah has remained tight-lipped about his romantic life. In an interview with 60 Minutes in June, the star casually brushed off rumours linking him to actress Minka Kelly.
When asked by host Lesley Stahl if he has a girlfriend, he smiled coyly and said: “Maybe”, before bursting out into laughter.
Questioned if he desired to have children, Trevor Noah responded: “No, I don’t”. He added: “Sometimes I will meet kids who make me go, ‘I want a kid’. And then sometimes I’ll meet children where I go, ‘I hope that my sperm doesn’t do anything because this person is a terror’.”
Trevor Noah was then quizzed over his love life in front of his two South African friends David Kibuuka and Ryan Harduth.
“It’s a trick. You don’t have to answer that question”, Trevor tells the pair. However, David – who also works on The Daily Show alongside Trevor – added that the star was a “great boyfriend”.

TREVOR NOAH MISSES HOME AND SA FOOD
In another segment, Trevor Noah was asked about what he “missed out on” during the Covid-19 pandemic.
He told the audience: “The thing I missed most, and it happened mostly in the pandemic, and I know I’m not alone in this. I missed people, I missed two years of people’s lives, I missed two years of eating food in South Africa. I missed two years of travelling with my family and friends”
Trevor then revealed what his next chapter after the show would entail.
He said: “I’m looking forward to living a little more, expressing a little more, growing a little more. And trying new things.”
