'5G crazies' influence 'lefty council decision' over internet towers

Sky News host Paul Murray says “5G crazies and conspiracy theorists” have triggered an abrupt decision by the Byron Shire Council to reject the approval of “the 5G towers going up” in the area. The council said it was concerned about elevated levels of “electromagnetic activity” associated with the 5G network and required further proof it presented no “health risks” to the community. Mr Murray said the council was listening to “crazy” activists who protested the installation of the 5G infrastructure a few weeks ago on health grounds, despite failing to provide any scientific evidence to support their claims. These same people will soon be complaining about "crap internet," he said. Image: Getty
