Australia is being pulled around by the ‘hook we’ve put in our own mouth’: Bishop

Former speaker of the house Bronwyn Bishop says the Black Lives Matter demonstrations in Australia and across the world are clearly “socialist movements and the outcome is inevitable”. Ms Bishop said all revolutions are the same whether it be the French revolution, the Bolshevik revolution, or Mao’s revolution. “They’re all the same, they want to destroy the existing rules and civilization that’s existed and out of that they expect their own utopia to arise”. She said Australia’s leaders need to fight hard against what is occurring across the globe which includes getting out of the Paris climate agreement. The agreement gives “substance to our fight against what’s happening in our region,” Ms Bishop told Sky News host Paul Murray. “Signing up to the Paris agreement has meant we are advantaging China which is the current revolutionary force”. “Right now, we are being pulled around by the hook we’ve put in our own mouth.” Image: Getty
