Bar Council enrolment written test Dec 19

The Bangladesh Bar Council will hold the written test of candidates for advocateship on December 19.

The enrolment committee of the Bar Council today on Wednesday fixed December 19 for the written test.

Around 13,000 candidates are expected to participate in the test.

The written test will be held from 9:00am to 1:00pm on December 19, according to a notification issued by Bar Council's Secretary Md Rafiqul Islam.

Earlier in the day yesterday, the members of the enrolment committee of the Bar Council held a meeting to take the decision.

Chairman of the Enrolment committee Justice Md Nuruzzaman presided over the meeting where its members -- Justice Razik-Al-Jalil, Justice SM Kuddus Zaman, Attorney General AM Amin Uddin and Bar Council's Vice Chairman Muhammad Yusuf Hossain Humayun -- attended, meeting sources said.

The written test for advocateship under the Bangladesh Bar Council, held at different hallrooms of Dhaka University under its arts faculty, was scheduled to be held on September 26 but was postponed after the authorities concerned of the DU refused to hold the written test on September 26 amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
