Tigers post 169 for five in second T20I

Mehedi Hasan Miraz hit 46 at the top before Nurul Hasan Sohan put the finishing touches to the innings as Bangladesh posted 169 for five against UAE in the second T20I at Dubai International Cricket Stadium today.

Miraz and Sabbir Rahman opened the innings again before Aryan Lakra struck in the fourth over with Sabbir trapped in front of the stumps to depart for 12 off 9 deliveries. Liton Das looked good for his 25 off 20 before he cut away one straight to fielder at point to depart after a 41-run stand with Miraz with the score on 68 for 2 in 8.2 overs.

Afif Hossain, hero of the first T20I against the same opposition, hit a few delicious shots during a 10-ball 18 but was holed out in the 11th over. Mosaddek Hossain came and stitched together a 32-run stand with Miraz, who was trapped leg-before by Sabir Ali as Bangladesh could not quite find the big shots in the middle over, just pushing past 120 in the 15th over.

Mosaddek's knock ended after a 22-ball 27 in the 17th over against leggie Karthik Meiyappan. Yasir Ali looked rusty during a 13-ball 21, unable to quite connect most of his big shots. Skipper Nurul Hasan Sohan hit the final delivery for six to remain unbeaten on a 10-ball 19 as Tigers posted 169 for five.

The Tigers who made two changes to the playing eleven, bringing in Ebadot Hossain and Taskin Ahmed in place of Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful Islam, lead the two-match T20I series 1-0.
