The Rapid Action Battalion has arrested a youth in a case filed over the rape of a madrasa student in Narayanganj's Araihazar upazila.
The accused, Ujjal, 22, was arrested in Dhalpur area of Dhaka's Jatrabari on Saturday night, our Narayanganj correspondent reports, quoting Assistant Superintendent of Police Rizwan Sayed Jiku, media officer of Rab-11.

According to the case document, Ujjal used to stalk the girl on her way to the madrasa. Three months ago, he along with his accomplices forcibly took the girl to his house and raped her.
The victim, however, did not disclose the incident fearing social humiliation.
Ujjal raped the girl again several times, giving her false promises of marriage and intimidating her.
Finally on November 24, the victim's mother filed the rape case with Araihazar Police Station against the accused.
