A judge on Wednesday granted bail to a Canadian man accused of raping an American tourist at Atlantis resort.

Supreme Court Justice Camille Darville-Gomez set bail at $25,000 cash for William McCann.

Prosecutors say the 28-year-old raped the 21-year-old woman in his room on May 26, 2022.

McCann was remanded into custody when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans on May 30.

He is scheduled to return to her court on August 4 for the presentation of a voluntary bill of indictment.

Bjorn Ferguson represented McCann.
