Nassau| Bahamas Press is reporting the passing of writer and published author Vera Poitier Chase.
She served as President of the Commonwealth Writers of the Bahamas and historian. She was a mentor to children writers. She passed away last evening.
We praise God for her wonderful work which is now lived in scores of new writers around the country.
May her soul rest in peace.
