Rising Entrepreneurship Gala is Here Again

The 2019 Rising Entrepreneurship Gala is drawing near and young business minds, particularly single mothers, are being called to come forward.  The goal is to raise eight thousand dollars that will go as a startup capital for a youth entrepreneur.  Today, that appeal was made through the Department of Youth Services and Samos Consulting.

Crystal Samos, Director, Samos Consulting

“This year we are catering to a single mother because of all the issues that have been occurring in our country with domestic violence.”

Reporter

“Okay, just go into more detail on what it‘s about and what‘s the importance of it and how it all started.”

Crystal Samos

“Samos Consulting really focuses on entrepreneurship.  We really believe in assisting and guiding young people because young people, most of the time, don’t have that help and guidance to start up their business or most of the time they are not really encouraged.  They don’t believe in themselves to do so.  We are here to support them and to say, hey we actually believe in you.  We are here to assist you in whatever you need.  One of the projects that we do in order to fulfill our mission and vision is that we raise funds to assist young entrepreneurs to start up their business.  This year, like I mentioned, we are doing our second gala but we are catering to single mothers because of all the violence that has been going on in our country.  We do believe that financial freedom is the way for these mothers to get out of these abusive relationships and so forth.  So this year we are dedicating it to single mothers but next year and next two years it would be generic again which will be male and female.  We cater to young people which means the ages between eighteen to twenty for the most part.”
