Fourth candidate running for mayor of Guelph

Since May, only one candidate has run for the mayoral seat of Guelph, but three more have signed in the space of 24 hours.

John Edward Kraskey is the latest candidate to enter the mayoral race, joining his fellow challengers Dani Drew and Nicholas A. Ross, as well as incumbent Cam Guthrie .

Krusky is the director of his GTI Security Consulting Inc., according to his Twitter profile.

He also works as a bodyguard, security consultant, and private investigator for Golden Triangle Investigations.

Hours after Drew submitted the papers, Ross submitted them on Tuesday.

Ross previously ran for office in 2014 when Guthrie defeated incumbent Mayor Karen Farbridge.

The deadline to submit nominations for mayor, alderman, or trustee for the October 24 local election is Friday at 2:00 pm.
