Anne Heche's death was accidental, according to coroner's results

Actor Anne Heche died of inhalation injuries and burns after being involved in a severe car accident two weeks ago, and the death was ruled an accident, according to coroner's results released Wednesday. Judged.

Heche, 53, also had his sternum fractured by "blunt trauma," according to information on the Los Angeles County Coroner's website.

A full autopsy report is still pending, according to the coroner's office.

Heche suffered "severe anaerobic brain damage" caused by lack of oxygen last week, according to a statement issued on behalf of family and friends.

Detectives investigating the accident said drugs were found in a blood sample taken from Heche. However, police closed the investigation after she was declared brain dead.

The coroner's office listed her August 11 as the date of her death.
