Less than 48 hours after their photos were made public by Montreal police, two men suspected of no less than five armed robberies since the start of December are scheduled to face criminal charges in a Montreal courtroom Friday.
Montreal police said the pair were arrested overnight in the town of St-Calixte in the Lanaudière region. The two suspects, 18 and 19, face charges of armed robbery, armed assault, pointing a firearm and uttering death threats.

Police allege the pair committed robberies in the Ville-Émard neighbourhood and in the boroughs of Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie and Mercier—Hochelaga—Maisonneuve.
On Wednesday, Montreal police made public surveillance camera images of the two suspects, which resulted in a numerous tips from the public that allowed investigators to quickly identify and track down the pair.
