In a tweet on Sunday afternoon, OPP said there were no security threats and expected more police activity in the area.
On Sunday night, police said the suspect was found "quickly" and charged with attempted murder and two weighted assaults.
To protect the victim's identity, the accused's name was not disclosed, OPP said.
The accused has been detained and will appear in Lindsay on July 7.
Police say their investigation is underway.
